Testimonials
Average Buyer Rating: out of 5 stars

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * Great for our kitchen, nice picture and sound ...
We are very pleased with the picture and sound of our new under
cabinet LCD TV. It has a very clear picture and better sound
than we expected. We recently remodeled our small kitchen.
Great for a small kitchen.

Buyer's feedback: 3 out of 5 stars - Used in the kitchen
Recently we had to replace a small 5" CRT undercounter TV that had been of good service for many years. Believe me when I tell you that "they don't make them anymore." After doing a lot of research on what was available, we choose the Audiovox VE927 with the 9" screen. The TV has been in operation for a little over a month and works fine. The picture is clean and bright and the sound can be adjusted to be heard over the noise of cooking. The DVD works fine and the AM/FM radio is better than our old unit. It does have a few short-comings. The TV screen is 9-inch but when in the TV mode it only displayes a 7-inch picture (it measures 9-inches when in the DVD mode). The digital clock does not display all the numbers (we have clockes all over the kitchen so it was not worth the effort to return the unit because of this defect). In general, so far so good.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * Open Box TV ...
I recently bought an Audiovox kitchen (under cabinet) Tv from open box warehouse via Amazon. It was delivered in fine shape and was better than advertised. I'm happy with the purchase.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - perfect kitchen item
This is a perfect kitchen item. This is only my second review for an item on and it's because this is a perfect item for the kitchen mostly because of the swivel t.v. screen. It's nice that the screen can be folded up under it too. The radio sounds pretty good. The nine inch screen is the right size as you can see it from a kitchen table or a counter. A pretty good picture. My only complaint is the depth makes it a tight mount for the back connections but don't let that keep you from passing it up. Once everything is installed you'll love it!

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * Perfect for Me ...
Audiovox VE927 9-Inch LCD Drop-Down TV with Built-In DVD Player and Clock Radio
I read all the reviews on line, and this one seemed the best. It took about a week to receive with free shipping from Amazon.

It was easy for my husband to install (he's very handy).

We needed an electrician to run an extra cable to the kitchen and to return and hook up to our main cable.

The TV has a clear picture and good audio. The remote works well as do setting the TV manually.

I am very happy with this purchase and can watch my news shows while cooking dinner.

Usually we're fans of Logitech's gaming mice, but its highest-end G9 Laser Mouse is expensive, overly complex, and lacks the ergonomic thought we've come to expect. If you like to brag about dot-per-inch limits, perhaps the G9's 3,200dpi laser will be enough to sell you, but for the price, we expect the design to match.

While compact and convenient, Panasonic's SD-based SDR-S150 camcorder doesn't make the quality cut.

One of the most unjustly underrated Italian operas receives a production that should help correct that attitude. Andrea Chenier is based on the true story of a poet who was caught up and destroyed by the blind fury of the French Revolution. Giordano's music captures the acrid flavor of that movement, the cynicism of some of its leaders, and Chenier's integrity and tragic fate. This production's value has probably increased since Plácido Domingo, the leading Chenier of his generation, has dropped the role from his repertoire.

All three principals sing eloquently and with a fine sense of the opera's structure and context. Anna Tomowa-Sintow is in even better voice than Domingo, and Giorgio Zancanaro heads an expert supporting cast. The Covent Garden Chorus, directed with distinction by Michael Hampe, gives a memorable impression of the revolutionary mob. Julius Rudel's conducting is totally idiomatic. --Joe McLellan

It would have been better, of course, if this 1984 production of Donizetti's Anna Bolena, or at least its title role, had been filmed 20 years earlier, when Joan Sutherland's voice was in its spectacular prime. But like her Canadian Opera Norma, dating from 1981, this is a better-late-than-never documentation of one of the most remarkable voices of the 20th century.

Lotfi Mansouri spared no effort or expense in making this production special. He personally directed the staging, and handpicked an outstanding cast (right down to the very young and then-unknown Ben Heppner in the small role of Hervey). The visual elements--sets, costumes, and camera work--are also handled with great care, and Sutherland's positive response to this dedication can be sensed in her performance as the unfortunate wife of King Henry VIII. James Morris is best-known as a Wagnerian singer--perhaps the leading Wotan of our time--but he is equally at home in many of the villainous roles that are the fate of bass- baritones (Iago, Scarpia, Don Giovanni). In this sinister tale of an innocent woman ruthlessly destroyed, he shows a surprising knack for the bel canto style. Judith Forst is also excellent in the role of Jane Seymour. --Joe McLellan
