This is a high quality product, but bear in mind this is NOT a monitor EXTENSION....it is a new monitor CORD....meaning it connects from your computer to the monitor itself.

If you are looking for an extension, find one with one male and one female plug.

The item works exactly as you would expect it to, 10" monitor cable is just what I needed and this cable does just that. It preserves the picture quality just as well as a shorter cable. If the price stays low and you want a long VGA cable, this is a great buy.

When I first took this package out, I thought I had stepped back through time - thick shielding, ferrites on both ends and even extra nuts for screwing in extensions; this is one serious cable, and for less than most retail "cheapo" models! Needless to say, it works perfectly when hooked up to my 20" LCD TV from my main rig.

Note everybody that the cable is not SVGA but it is UVGA that is the highest quality available and supports HD 1080p. You can check that from the vendor's web. The price is cheap. I saw an SVGA cable in one local store for >$50! So go for it. Now I can use my 40" digital TV as a huge monitor!
