0ur opinion:

:
Whether you commute to work or school on the freeway, drive for a living, or just like to go on an occasional recreational trip, the Cobra XRS-9430 Radar/Laser Detector is an invaluable addition to your motor vehicle. Designed for the convenience of 24-hour use, the XRS-9430 has an extra bright digital display that can be dimmed for nighttime driving. Measuring 4.40 x 2.70 x 1.30 inches and weighing just 5.15 ounces, the XRS-9430 can be set just about anywhere within easy view when you're driving, and then stored in your glove compartment when you're parked.

The XRS-9430 detects six different radar signals, including the Ku wavelength band that is widely used in Europe and that has been recently approved for use in the United States. ln addition, the XRS-9430 is completely invisible to the VG-2 and Spectre radar detector detectors while it alerts you if either the VG-2 or the Spectre is in use in your area.

The XRS-9430 is also sensitive to four different laser signals, and with its LaserEye feature giving you a 360-degree detection range, you'll always be able to tell if you're driving through a surveillance area. And perhaps most importantly, for your own safety and the safety of other drivers sharing the road with you, the XRS-9430 detects two emergency alert systems to give you advance warning of road hazards, keeping you prepared when emergency vehicles are nearby. ln addition to detecting the Safety alert system, the XRS-9430, like most of Cobra's Radar/Laser detectors, offers Cobra's exclusive feature of detecting the presence of the Strobe alert system, which emergency crews use to control traffic signals.

So get the Cobra XRS-9430 Radar/Laser Detector for your car or truck, and you'll be prepared for just about anything when you're behind the wheel.

Note: Radar detectors can be used without restriction in well over 40 states, but restrictions apply in a few states. Please check with your state department of motor vehicles or highway patrol if you have questions about whether there are restrictions in your area.

Buyer's feedback: 1 out of 5 stars - * RADAR ...
I HATE THIS HUGE RADAR DETECTTOR AND WHEN THE VOICE COMES ON IT IS UNCLEAR AND IF YOU HAVE YOUR RADIO ON YOU WONT HEAR IT ANYWAY. EVEN IF HAVING A NORMAL CONVERSATION YOU CANNOT MAKE OUT WHAT SHE IS SAYING. DONT BUY IT WANT TO RETURN IT

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - PERFECT
THIS PRODUCT HELP ME MANY TIMES, WORK PERFECT. I drove in the road for 400 miles, it detected all radars. I'm happy whit it.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * It is great! ...
I've had this radar detector for almost a year now, I'm a commuter and I have to drive up to 35 miles daily from home to work In an Interstate, It has payed itself and over almost 4 times now, don't expect that if you're going over a 100 you wont get caught because yo have the Radar Detector, you have to use with a lot of common sense!

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - Works great
I think this is a descent detector for the price. I had an Whistler prior to this one and I think the Cobra is by far more superior. If you are using a radar detector so you can speed and think it should save you from a ticket, you had better give head a shake. The police don't all ways have their radar on so if you think it's the detectors fault that you got caught, again give your head a shake. This detector has decent range and the settings make it so it is not real annoying. For the price this is a good detector. But don't expect it to save you money in fines, because even the most expensive radar detectors won't save you either.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * Some People are stupid ...
I bought this radar detector after getting 2 speeding tickets less than a month apart and haven't had one since. This is a very good product for the price. Only problem I have with it, its not loud enough. I like to rock out in my truck and have been pulled while the detector is going nuts but I'm jamming out. Didn't get a ticket though. The bad reviews I read on here are from people that apparently think cops drive around running radar constantly. Thats not the case. The detector only responds if it "DETECTS" something. If the cop has their radar off and turns it on as your speeding around, don't blame the detector because you lost at the cat and mouse game.

Usually we're fans of Logitech's gaming mice, but its highest-end G9 Laser Mouse is expensive, overly complex, and lacks the ergonomic thought we've come to expect. If you like to brag about dot-per-inch limits, perhaps the G9's 3,200dpi laser will be enough to sell you, but for the price, we expect the design to match.

While compact and convenient, Panasonic's SD-based SDR-S150 camcorder doesn't make the quality cut.

There are but two kinds of people in the world: Those captivated by Baz Luhrmann's heady, postmodernist musical romp Moulin Rouge--and everybody else. Oddly, the film's initial soundtrack release may have been the project's most traditional element, marketing a slate of pop-star contributions that gave listeners a sometimes-skewed perspective on its true musical charms. This follow-up corrects much of that oversight, offering original film versions of "Sparkling Diamonds" (the lavish, Nicole Kidman-performed medley of "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" and "Material Girl"), Jim Broadbent's and Richard Roxburgh's loopy take on "Like a Virgin," as well as the lively Offenbach "Can Can" parody "The Pitch (Spectacular Spectacular)." It also pays homage to the efforts of composer Craig Armstrong, whose quietly compelling underscore often binds the film's other far-flung musical influences together, be they stately orchestral readings of Elton John's "Your Song," a dramatic arrangement for Kidman and Ewan MacGregor's original film duet of "Come What May," or his dark, melodramatic take on Queen's "The Show Must Go On." The first Moulin Rouge soundtrack collection flaunted the film's bold, cross-genre ambitions; this one chronicles its nakedly emotional heart and soul. --Jerry McCulley

It would be easy to dismiss Kelly Osbourne's musical ambitions based on 1) Her royally obnoxious behavior on the family's MTV reality series, 2) Her overly manufactured debut album, Shut Up, and 3) That voice, which up until now, sounded like cats on a chalkboard. But spare a moment for the bratty singer's follow-up effort, a remarkably faithful new-wave throwback, which generously references everyone from Duran Duran to Missing Persons. Producer Linda Perry not only effectively revives the dramatic sounds and melodies of the era but offers songs that perfectly suit Osbourne's, er, constrained vocal range. The resulting disc is full of guilty pleasures like "Uh Oh" and "Redlight," tunes that should strike a chord with anyone that still gets a thrill out of happening upon basic cable reruns of "Sixteen Candles." --Aidin Vaziri
