0ur opinion:

:
The Corsair Flash Voyager family of USB drives is rugged, stylish, compact, and reliable, making them ideal for transporting MP3s, digital images, presentations and more. Flash Voyager drives are fully Plug and Play with most operating systems and are backward compatible with USB 1.1. Their durable rubber casing is easy to grip and water resistant. The Flash Voyager product line is both enclosed in the Corsair proprietary all-rubber Flash Voyager housing. Boasting water-resistant properties, these drives allow users to carry more valuable data and applications without compromise. Several reviews of the Flash Voyager products have demonstrated the ruggedness, durability, and reliability of the Flash Voyager family. The Flash Voyager has been shown laundered, baked, frozen, boiled, dropped, and even run over by a SUV in many third party reviews. After all the punishment it receives, the drive continues to work.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * Well, it's just big! ...
I do a lot of computer work for a living, and used to have to use a USB hard drive a lot. No more. The huge capacity of this little wonder is a big help. I will say it is not as fast as my 8 gig unit, but it is pretty fast, and the size makes up for a lot.

It is also rubber armored, and the cap stays on really well. It even comes with a nice, wide strap.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - works just fine!
Product works well - having so much space is awesome. It holds all of my pictures plus all of my documents. The only issue I had was when I tried to store my movies, they didn't copy quite right. I discovered that I had to reformat the jump drive. After I did that, no problem at all.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * Light weight poratable backup ...
I find the Corsair Corsair 16GB Flash Voyager USB 2.0 Flash Drive - CMFUSB2.0-16GBUSB 2.0 Flash Drive - CMFUSB2.0-16GB (Purchased 10/16/2008) very useful and light weight poratable backup. Wish it was a little faster. Also could be slimmer with bright colors and cover that doesn't fall so easily.KeyScan KS810 Color Document Scanner integrated in a PC Keyboard - Black

Buyer's feedback: 1 out of 5 stars - 5 weeks..
Well well what da ya know. I hate to do this because I love to give props when they're due and give 5 stars to everything I ever got from amazon because most of it works great. But this device here..This $#!T should be taken off amazon. I kid you not, no more than 5 weeks of owning this crap I encountered problems. You never know what kind of stunt its going to pull. It's a blessing if the computer recognizes it and you're actually able to transfer a file but more often, it makes the sound that windows makes when it recognizes that a new device has been inserted and within the same second it is "pulled out" and makes that sound that says a device has been removed. Other times it says USB device not recognized. This also happened to my sandisk 8gb but my 2gb sandisk worked fine for a year! I'm thinking its the bigger flash drives in general. HEAR MY CRY! DO NOT SUPPORT THESE PEOPLE!!!!

Buyer's feedback: 3 out of 5 stars - * rubber doesn't mean rugged ...
Things I liked about this drive:
- capacity
- speed
- nifty blue light that blinks when data was transferring

Didn't like:
- The rubberized cap sometimes grips other things like denim more than it grips the smooth metal of the USB connector, so it would come off when I was taking it out of my pocket. I ended up switching it for a non-rubberized cap from another defunct USB.
- It's just as vulnerable as any other USB drive in terms of getting bent/broken where the USB connector meets the body of the drive, and I guess I sat on it and bent it, and it ceased to work.

Currently I'm looking at getting a Sandisk Cruzer with a metal body and retractable USB connector, and I don't foresee having this problem again.

Joshua Logan's 1967 film of the hit Broadway musical about the love triangle between King Arthur (Richard Harris), Guenevere (Vanessa Redgrave), and Sir Lancelot (Franco Nero) is strong on star emphasis and weak on such fundamentals as story and sets. Except for a handful of solidly dramatic scenes--such as Guenevere grieving, late in the film, for the ruination she and Lancelot have caused--there's not a lot to get excited about. (The story's theme of a lost, great society, however, certainly struck a chord in the 1960s.) The Lerner-Loewe songs ("If Ever I Would Leave You," "Camelot") pretty much sell themselves, even if they are, at best, only proficiently performed in this movie. --Tom Keogh

"The book was better" has been the complaint of many a reader since the invention of movies. Frank Darabont's second adaptation of a Stephen King prison drama (The Shawshank Redemption was the first) is a very faithful adaptation of King's serial novel. In the middle of the Depression, Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) runs death row at Cold Mountain Penitentiary. Into this dreary world walks a mammoth prisoner, John Coffey (Michael Duncan) who, very slowly, reveals a special gift that will change the men working and dying (in the electric chair, masterfully and grippingly staged) on the mile . As with King's book, Darabont takes plenty of time to show us Edgecomb's world before delving into John Coffey's mystery. With Darabont's superior storytelling abilities, his touch for perfect casting, and a leisurely 188-minute running time, his movie brings to life nearly every character and scene from the novel. Darabont even improves the novel's two endings, creating a more emotionally satisfying experience. The running time may try patience, but those who want a story, as opposed to quick-fix entertainment, will be rewarded by this finely tailored tale. --Doug Thomas

On the DVD

Listen to our interview with Frank Darabont.
Anyone who has seen this Oscar-nominated film knows Frank Darabont likes to t-a-k-e h-i-s t-i-m-e. He certainly does the same in filling all three hours of his commentary track which he recorded over several sessions. Darabont has studied other DVDs and purposely does not repeat tidbits covered in the excellent new 90-minute documentary on author Stephen King and the making of the film. Other solid segments are two deleted scenes, a never-used teaser trailer, and Michael Duncan Clarke's screen test. The highlight is two remarkable tests of Tom Hanks in old-age makeup. Both are very credible, but it was decided to use another actor. The outcome is a DVD that puts the "special" back into the special edition. --Doug Thomas

When Roman tribune Marcellus Gallio (Richard Burton) is sent to Jerusalem, one of his assignments is the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Marcellus, a cynical and hardened man, wins the robe Jesus wore to the crucifixion while gambling with other Roman soldiers underneath the dying savior. He later becomes convinced that his hallucinations and violent outbursts are the result of a curse received from the robe, which is now in the possession of his escaped slave, Demetrius (Victor Mature), somewhere in the Middle East. He sets out to find Demetrius in order to destroy the robe and the curse and finds faith instead, converting to Christianity. This was the first movie to be filmed in CinemaScope, and won Oscars in 1953 for costume design, art direction, and set decoration. The visual aspects of the film are stunning, and it may be worth viewing for that alone; however, the script and acting leave much to be desired, and you won't find inspiration in these areas if that's what interests you. If, however, you are more interested in this film for its religious matter, the story of the conversion of the hardened Marcellus is inspiring. --James McGrath
