* Sound quality isn't great.... ...
This unit is a good table-top unit for an XM receiver. Unfortunately, at higher volume levels, the sound gets tinny and there is no graphic equalizer to fix it other than the bass boost button, which itself is inadequate.

Pretty cool system
I was worried about picking up a signal but I can get signals from a window facing NE and SE as well when I place the antenna on the window sill. You can also fine tune the signal by turning the antenna base clockwise or counter clockwise.
The volume is excellent in my opinion, filling the room and you can hear good in an adjacent room. Excellent base boost as well. This has a handle that you grab and take with you to another room or outside. The antenna tucks away under a top compartment if you want to take it outside.
There is no off switch. You turn the receiver off and the unit powers down. You might be able to hear a very faint hiss and low volume levels, but I believe this is inherent for any xm receiver. If you plug an mp3 player in the back, there is no hiss. So it is the transmission.
One nice touch is a battery saver switch. If you put batteries in it but use AC power most of the time, there is a switch in back where you can turn the batteries off, so there is no battery drain while they sit encased in the unit.
I originally bought an XpressR for this unit. I called Delphi and they said it was incompatible, although it worked for me. So I replaced the unit with the XpressRC with the color screen. Its a better match. Better reception and when you turn the receiver off, the boom box shuts down also.
I was a bit skeptical because of the price, but now I am glad I own this and feel its a good value.

* Good enough for a room full of good sound ...
I bought this for my wife and she loves it. Uses it with the XpressRC.
It won't rattle the windows but has good quality sound for one room.
Buy it while it's on sale, I paid $145.00

Nice sounding and nice looking product
I purchased this unit over the Thanksgiving weekend and really like it. It has a very nice, clean sound and is very easy to operate using the SkyFi3 since all functions work through the SkyFi3's remote. My only minor complaint is that when you dock the receiver the volume comes on at a predetermined level, but it's not a big deal. The system looks very nice and has a great sound -- I would highly recommend it. With respect to a previous review, if you want BIG sound for a party or to resonate throughout your house, you'd probably just want the home kit for your receiver and feed it though your home stereo. But for a nice roomfull (or even a couple of roomfulls) of sound, this does a great job.

* Great product ...
Lets just say that I was extremely impressed with the audio from this thing. I mean its small but the bass hits hard on the chest and the audio doesnt crack when you turn it up. XM sounds great on it but sound quality depends on your location so some people get better quality than others. Great product if your having a back yard party or something small in the house. Got a lot of compliments for its sound and looks.
