This is overall a great shredder if you can get it on sale at a deep discount. The reason? I was looking for a confetti shredder because that is the most secure you can buy. When I got it I had to check the box before I understood what their "confetti" style really was and was very sorry that I didn't look at another reviewer who stated the same. This is not the type of confetti you can expect to throw up in the air, not the same small box style pieces. Do not buy this if your looking for true confetti. I gave it a four though because it seems of great quality and great safety features.

This shredder is AWESOME!! I wasn't very happy with the 1st shredder (NOT a Fellowes) I had purchased a couple of years ago so I decided to replace it and I'm REALLY glad I did. My new Fellowes shredder is strong, powerful, and much quieter than my old one; plus it doesn't overheat or jam up like my old one. Both were 8 sheet capacity (not that I would usually try 8 at a time) but my old one was basically a 1-2 sheet where the Fellowes will easily handle 4-5 sheets all day. I am totally impressed!! (I was also impressed with ...VERY quick shipping.)

This paper shredder is wonderful. It works really well. I generally put around 5 sheets in at a time and do not have any problems. I love the SafeSense. I have a cat and I didnt want her nails to get trimmed if she decided to be playful while i was using the shredder or if i forgot to turn it off. While I did not use my cats paw to check if the SafeSense works, i did put my finger very close to the region were the blades are, the machine quickly stopped and did not start shredding until my finger was no longer touching that region. The product also arrived in two days after I ordered it!!!!!! To sum it up, I am very happy with this product and would highly recommend it!

I don't have an 'Ollie North' pile of papers to shred - just the normal household papers & old bank statements. This machine is much quieter than our previous (10 year old) shredder. I've put 6 sheets in at once - no problems. The sensor element that surrounds the paper feed does stop the machine when you touch it with your finger - a nice safety feature. Overall, this product works as advertised and I'm quite happy with it.

I've only had this shredder about a month, but so far it is fantastic. I no longer have to open all those credit card offers in order to shred them. It even tears through the ones with plastic cards inside. Don't know if it actually does 8 sheets at a time, but it hasn't stopped with anything that I have put through it. I would definitely recommend this shredder.
