Testimonials

Buyer's feedback: 3 out of 5 stars - * Only accomodates the device ...
It is a case for your garmin - not a "carrying" case. I expected it to hold more than just the device. I guess I should have looked more closely at the image and figured out that such a slim case wouldn't be able to accomodate anything else.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - I love my Garmin, still
It protects my screen when I throw it in my suitcase. If you put it in power switch first it will automatically turn on when you take it out of the case, nice!

Buyer's feedback: 1 out of 5 stars - * Didn't get it ...
Although the tracking showed this delivered, I never got it so I had to call Amazon's customer service which took me 20 minutes to find. No effort was made to find out what happened to the item. Although I have not had problems with Amazon before, I'm a little worried about buying anything more expensive. I asked the customer service person to pass along my comments and I don't think he understood me or had the option of passing along my concern.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - A basic case
Our nuvi 260W did not come with a case, and this was the one that was recommended as the case that fit the 260W on the Garmin web site.

It works for its purpose, which is to provide some basic protection for the GPS when it's not mounted in a vehicle. It doesn't have a belt clip, it doesn't have a zipper, it doesn't make julienne fries. It's not a fashion accessory that will impress your friends.

It's a simple slide-on case that holds our GPS securely and keeps the screen from being scratched when it's not in use. It's of the quality and utility that one would expect from a case that would be included with the GPS, but for whatever reason, Garmin decides not to do so.

For the price, it does what it's supposed to do. I've been using ours casually for almost two months, and have not had any problem with the case stretching to the point where the GPS can slip out. There are other cases that provide other features, so options are available if you're looking for some other utility.

This is a basic case that does what it's supposed to do. Nothing more, nothing less. Exactly what it should be.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * EXCELLENT PRODUCT ...
ALTHOUGH SPECIFIED FOR THE 660, THIS CASE FITS SEVERAL GARMIN SERIES, INCLUDING THE 700 SERIES(760 IN MY CASE). THE CASE IS VERY WELL MADE AND LOOKS GOOD. THE GARMINS SLIP SNUGLY INTO THE CASE AND ARE HELD SECURELY. THE HARD FRONT AND BACK PROTECT THE SCREEN VERY WELL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO PROTECT YOUR GARMIN WHEN NOT IN USE.

On paper, the Mio DigiWalker P550 looks to be an attractive gadget for the mobile professional, combining the capabilities of a PDA and GPS into one device. However, its poor battery life and subpar navigation skills tell a different story.

Though it won't appeal to the masses quite yet, the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet is a nice, portable device for on-the-go Web browsing, and it has some worthy upgrades.

Though it's expensive, the Sony VAIO VGN-TX670P delivers a great combination of business and entertainment features, long battery life, and unparalleled connectivity in an incredibly ultraportable package.

It's a measure of the ongoing popularity of Karen and Richard Carpenter that the 2002 release of this video collection in DVD format comes nearly 20 years after Karen's death. The duo's heyday mostly preceded the MTV age, so this 15-song, 55-minute anthology is a bit of a visual hodgepodge, composed of still photos, footage from TV shows and concerts, promo clips, fleeting attempts at conceptual videos, and other weirdness (film of Carpenters albums being pressed on the assembly line? Hey, whatever). You'll see an array of bad haircuts and outfits and a whole lot of lip-syncing, but in the end, it's the music that counts. And the Carpenters' signature sound, with its brilliant arrangements, its lush harmonies, and Karen's exquisite alto voice, was easy-listening pop at its finest. If nothing else, Carpenters: Gold offers another chance to hear that music in all its glory. --Sam Graham

With a gentle tug at the heartstrings, Evelyn tells the true story of an imperfect father whose devotion brought much-needed change to rigid Irish law. It's a labor of love for star and coproducer Pierce Brosnan, who brings just the right touch of Everyman charm to his role as Desmond Doyle, a struggling Dublin tradesman, father of three, and chronic pub-crawler whose wife abandons their family the day after Christmas, 1953. Desmond's a loving father who's boyishly irresponsible; Irish law dictates the removal of his children to stern Catholic orphanages, and his battle for custody is aided by two lawyers (Stephen Rea, Aidan Quinn) who seize this opportunity to revolutionize the courts. With straightforward, unobtrusive style, director Bruce Beresford draws fine performances from Brosnan, Julianna Margulies (as a barmaid who inspires Desmond's sobriety), and especially young Sophie Vavasseur in the title role as Desmond's bright, determined daughter. Sentimental without being saccharine, Evelyn is simple, well made, and bursting with genuine Irish spirit. --Jeff Shannon
