The widescreen format gives you 70% more actual screen area than a 3.5-inch screen. Primarily this translates into a better view of the area through which you are driving. Also, the device itself is larger, meaning controls on the screen are more widely spaced and somewhat easier to push.

And if you end up missing a turn, or you're forced into a detour that is not relayed through the traffic receiver, the nüvi's sophisticated automatic routing will get you back on track in no time. ln most areas, TMC Clear Channel traffic broadcasts are continuous — there's no waiting for scheduled traffic news updates or random alerts. Because traffic broadcasts are received via a 'silent' FM data channel, you can still listen to music or news programming on your car radio without interference from incoming FM traffic data transmissions. Excellent product...I would recommend any traveler to have this product. Whether your trying to find specific food, directions or even a telephone number to a local business, this GPS can do it all. I've taken it several places and have rarely found that it could've provided a better route. The only issue I had was it did not provide any routes with toll roads which to some is great but to me was a setback since they often have less traffic and can be quicker to one's destination. I'm not sure if any GPS has this option though. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this product...

My friends know that I'm very direction-challenged, so I bought this after doing some research. I love it, and think that the price ($300) is great for a product like this. It gets me where I need to go, and is very very accurate. I must admit, sometimes it takes me on the backroads when I want to go on the highway, but if I consult mapquest.com and start driving on the highway, it will eventually steer me in the right direction by re-calculating the route.

The only problem is the GPS holder that sticks to the window doesn't work very well, and I had to buy one of those beanbag-like holders for my car.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this product and I've recommended it to all my friends!
