The c330 keeps track of places that you find and stores the fifty most recent finds in an easy to access list called Recent Selections, placing the most recently viewed at the top of the list. * Great Buy ...
This is an excellent first timer buy. I paid about $150 and it came with the dashboard/window mount. It has a nice big display, the touch screen buttons are easy to use, and it gives you directions on the screen, voice, and even let's you know which road you need to turn on. You can change the "voice" to many different languages and it comes preloaded with maps that even include Alaska, Hawai'i, and Europe. The menu is easy to follow and gives you many options without becoming confusing. If this will be your first GPS then you will be very happy with the Garmin SreetPilot c330. Even my 62 year old mom finds it easy to use.

Garmin
By far the easiest GPS receiver to use. Simple inputs get you to your destination fast. Finds restaurants, gas, hotels, etc., quickly and accurately. Not fancy for sure, but for fast input, reliable directions, you can't beat it.

* The most practical thing I ever bought. ...
Got this as a Christmas gift for my husband...then I took it!! It is great. Just punch in the address and it takes you right to the door. When my husband goes away on a trip and rents a car, he takes it (when I'm not looking) and plugs it into the lighter doohickie of the car and he never gets lost no matter where he goes in the States. I have had this for a few years now and it still works great and has been used a lot. Come on ladies..get one "for your husband."

* Best car accessory ever ...
This is an excellent item to have. Before I bought one, I didn't really believe a GPS would be as awesome as it is. Driving in strange cities is no longer intimidating because now you know where you're going, or at least the device does. And if you miss a turn, it just recalculates and gets you back on track. It's not perfect and the maps are sometimes off a little, but 99% of the time it was fine and worked perfectly. This is one of the few convenience items I would say is definitely worth the expense and everyone should have.
