* Pretty good little machine ...
I got this little guy because I recently moved to Seattle and found that Mapquest and Google maps were getting me lost more often than my work was willing to tolerate. So far, it's been a pretty good machine. It hasn't gotten me to the wrong place yet, but it has occasionally tried to send me the wrong way down a one way street. If I keep on going in a different direction, it usually adjusts for me, and only once has it been stubborn enough to keep trying to get me to go somewhere I couldn't go. All in all I'd recommend it. As far as the MSN stuff goes, I haven't had much success with that, so I don't know if I'd recommend that. It keeps telling me that it could take several minutes--the problem is several minutes can end up being hours.

Overall a good deal
Overall this is a good deal - you get a Garmin with most of the new features except it's a little bulky (no issue for me but may be for some). The only concern I have with it is that it's a little slow acquiring signal - at times it's taken up to a few minutes which is annoying when you want to start driving and aren't sure which way to start out.

* satellite service ...
In regards to my Garmin c580, it works great as far as getting me from here to there, I am not able to use any of the other features for which I bought it and which are to be free for the first year. These features are apparently only available in larger cities with their own satellite connection and I am mid-point between two of them and it doesn't work. When contacted, I was told that if I want to go to either of these cities, I will need to call them and tell them I'm going and they will then activate it. I live in Central PA and will be traveling to Florida for the holidays and was depending on it for various things which I guess won't be happening. I'm eager to find out as I'm certainly not going to pay when the year is up for something that is unavailable. Very disappointed.

Very easy to use. I love the real time traffic feature that helps me avoid unexpected delays. I have had the a few cars with factory navigation systems and I prefer the Garmin c580.
