0ur opinion:

:
The Kidde 25-foot escape ladder provides a way to escape fires or other emergencies and offers your family an essential piece of safety equipment if you live in a two- or three-story home. The National Fire Protection Association recommends one ladder in every occupied room on floors above the main level. This durable ladder stores conveniently under the bed or near a window and deploys quickly and easily. lt will support a maximum weight of 1,000 pounds when the load is distributed on more than one rung, while the maximum weight for each rung is 750 pounds. The metal rung steps prevent slippage to ensure a safe climb down, and its tangle-free design makes for easy packing and repacking. No assembly or tools are required, and it is backed by a 5-year warranty.

Testimonials

Buyer's feedback: 3 out of 5 stars - * Pretty good but still kinda scary ...
The ladder is designed to hang over a windowsill and prop itself against an outside wall. It looks like it would be very stable and reliable this way. Unfortunately we don't have windows that open, so our 3rd storey egress is off a balcony (no wall to prop on). It will not be easy to get onto the ladder this way and it will swing and twist as you descend, but it's still a lot better than nothing. I'd rather slide down a rope though.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - Fire Escape Ladder a necessity
This is something everyone should have who live in a 2 and above level residence. This is well made, sturdy and easy to use.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * Excellent Delivery ...
This item was ordered as a Christmas gift. We were expecting delivery within 3-10 days. Imagine our surprise when the merchandise was delivered 24 hours later. Fanastic!

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - life saver
After the horrible house fire that took the lives of 7 college students, I felt that my beach home was a fire trap also. I have a rental home at the beach that is 3 stories tall with no excape route. I don't know if the house that caught on fire had excape ladders or not, but I do know that mine do not. Trying to find anyone that sold excape ladders for these tall beach homes was hard. Most beach home living spaces start on the second floor. After checking several local stores I came to Amazon and was not disappointed. I received my 2 ladders for the 3rd floor living spaces in 2 days. They will be in maked accessible areas for renters for find easly. I now feel confident that I have provided an easy escape in case of a fire. Amazon also sells ladders for much taller structures in case they are needed.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * Great ...
I like the way its built and easy enough for even a kid to use it.

Intel's Core 2 Duo E6700 offers the best price-to-performance ratio we've seen in a desktop chip. For half the cost of AMD's top-of-the-line chip, you get identical if not superior performance and better power efficiency. AMD surprised us last year with its completely dominant dual-core chips, but Intel regains the crown with Core 2 Duo.

This 44-minute musical Christmas movie finds Pooh, Tigger, Darby, and the rest of everyone's favorite characters from the Hundred Acre Wood enjoying a busy Christmas Eve filled with Christmas preparations and dreams about what they hope to receive from Santa. When Roo and Lumpy discover a fancy red bag in the snow and then stumble upon a young reindeer named Holly caught in a thicket, they find out that the bag they've found is Santa's magical toy sack and that without it, Santa may have to cancel Christmas. When Holly is unable to remember which direction leads home, Roo and Lumpy sound the super sleuth siren and the whole gang sets off for the North Pole to return Santa's bag. Using their knowledge of the North Star to guide them, the hopeful group makes their way toward the North Pole, but finds the road difficult and full of danger. Can the group make it to Santa in time to save Christmas by working together? Will their individual Christmas wishes ever come true? Bonus features include two episodes about friendship and teamwork ("Symphony for Rabbit" and "Tigger Goes Snowflakey") and the "Hundred Acre Wood Downhill Game" in which players pretend to ski down a hill and then interactively match presents with their intended recipients. Pooh Bear and his pals in the Hundred Acre Wood celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve in a pair of adventures folded into this 65-minute made-for-video feature. In the first, the silly old bear plays Saint Nick to his buddies ("I always thought he'd be taller") after failing to get an errant wish list off to Santa, while identity crisis strikes the gang in the second half. Piglet inherits Tigger's hop and jumps like a pogo stick, and Eeyore (dressed in Pooh's shirt) becomes a happy-go-lucky honey lover. Welcome to The Twilight Zone according to Winnie the Pooh. There's not much A.A. Milne in this TV-style holiday special, but it's a bouncy little production that should entertain the wee ones with its warm fuzzies, good company, slapstick energy, and life lessons. --Sean Axmaker
