Testimonials
Average Buyer Rating: out of 5 stars

Buyer's feedback: 1 out of 5 stars - * problems with microphone ...
I had at first high expectations of the product as it has relatively good reviews but I was very disappointed almost immediately when I make calls on skype or yahoo messenger. The person on the other end couldn't hear me well - the complaints are distortion of voice, volume going up and down throughout the conversation.
The sound received on my end are however quite good. So if you just want a headset to listen to music then it will serve you ok.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - Be free
I've had this headset for about 4 months now and use it mainly with Skype to call other Skype members and to call phone numbers with Skypeout.

Positives
-Great sound quality. I don't have a landline so I use this to make calls out (very cheap with Skypeout btw and toll free numbers are free which is nice when you are on hold for 30 minutes with a company). The sound quality is the same as a landline which is better than a typical cell phone.
-Very comfortable. Everyone says I have a big head and this headset accommodates me with room to spare. The ear pads are cushy.
-Decent range. Goes about 30ft through walls so you can walk around a bit. You can use the included USB receiver stand to get the receiver away from computer interference and to place it higher both of which may help increase your range.

Negatives
-Doesn't shut off automatically. If you forget to turn it off, it'll be dead in a week or so. Even if you shut it off, the battery will slowly drain so you still need to plug it in every couple weeks or just leave it plugged in.
-May cause your computer to change its default sound settings. I use Vista and this caused a problem initially but not since. If you can't hear the other person or vice versa, go to your Skype Tools-Options-Audio Settings and change speakers and microphone to USB audio device. You'll find similar setting adjustments in any computer chat program.
-No stand. That little stand that you see in the picture is for the USB receiver, NOT the headset. It would have been nice to have some kind of charging stand so you don't have to lay it flat cluttering your desk or hang it from the monitor where it tends to fall off.

Overall, this is a great computer peripheral. I previously used a Plantronics wired headset which was good but this Logitech is much more comfortable and convenient. It allows you to walk around pockets unencumbered while being hands-free, wire-free, and bi-aural.

Buyer's feedback: 2 out of 5 stars - * Had High Hopes ...
I had been researching wireless headsets for a couple of weeks, and this one by far got the best reviews for the money. Although I could hear everything really well, the microphone was terrible. Even just recording a brief 15 second video with my laptop's webcam, the voice went out of sync with the video. My friends said that they could barely understand me while playing online games with them.

I'd give this one star, but it did perform well with outputting audio, which is at least part of what it's supposed to do. FYI, I used this with a Mac Book Pro on 10.5.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - Awesome headset with few issues
This headset works perfectly. It charges quickly and has a pretty decent range. I can be talking on Skype and walk throughout my house, only losing my connection in the basement near the furnace. The sound is clear and loud.

My only real issues are:

Sometimes the mute does not work. It will flicker to mute and then back off.

When the battery dies, it dies. No warning, no beep, nothing. You are just dead. If it happens during a lull in the sound, you may not notice its dead right away.

Buyer's feedback: 2 out of 5 stars - * Logitech works well but wears heavy ...
The Logitech 981 has good sound quality and hooked up easily to our new VOIP Softphone but it is too heavy and bulking. Not a good feel if you are on the phone in business. Way to tight around my head and the battery does does not last long. It should have power gage so you don't run out of powe in the middle of a phone call. I would not buy another headset like this.

You can say this about D.E.B.S.: director Angela Robinson’s 2005 feature isn’t very good, but it is surprisingly entertaining. The premise, which bears a passing resemblance to any number of previous films (from Heathers and Clueless to Charlie’s Angels and the Austin Powers franchise), involves a secret government agency recruiting young women as spies, based on their smarts, their ability to lie convincingly, and the fact that they look fetching in ultra-miniskirts. Four of the D.E.B.S. are then charged with collaring "criminal mastermind" Lucy Diamond (Jordana Brewster), who has returned to the States after hatching all manner of nefarious plots overseas. Then comes the twist: Diamond is gay, and one of our heroines, Amy Bradshaw (Sara Foster), unexpectedly finds herself falling in love with her. Out goes the espionage element; in comes the love story, and therein lies the surprise, as this burgeoning lesbian relationship is handled with unexpected sympathy, even tenderness. Sure, the acting, even by veteran grownups like Holland Taylor and Michael Clarke Duncan, is almost uniformly lame, and the script is silly; overall, the film would have to put on considerable weight to even be considered frothy. Still, D.E.B.S. isn’t a bad way to kill a couple of hours. DVD bonus features include a making-of featurette and commentary by Robinson and the cast. --Sam Graham

The teaming of Johnny Knoxville (Jackass: The Movie) and Seann William Scott (Dude, Where's My Car?) as well as the presence of the '70s-flavored car chases that were a specialty of the TV series guarantees that The Dukes of Hazzard will be even more lowbrow than the CBS TV series (1979-85) that inspired it. However, this brain-damaging comedy is more "rehash" than "remake," as good ol' Georgiaboys Luke Duke (Knoxville) and his cousin Bo (Scott) are frequently upstaged bythe General Lee, the Confederate-flagged '69 Charger that they drive, jump, race, and fly in as they smuggle moonshine for their Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson). Meanwhile, cousin Daisy Duke (Jessica Simpson) is reliably available to model her short-shorts (aka "Daisy Dukes") and awesome figure (and let's face it, Simpson's talents pretty much begin and end right there), while corrupt honcho Boss Hogg (Burt Reynolds, who should know better) recruits a local NASCAR star to advance his wily scheme of converting Hazzard County into a strip mine. Director Jay Chandrasekhar (Super Troopers) manages to mine some good-natured humor from the movie's oval-track detour and a few colorful supporting players (notably Kevin Hefferman as the Duke's pal Sheev). Otherwise, consider yourself warned: The Dukes of Hazzard is shameless Hollywood product at its most forgettable, trafficking in shameless white, rural Southern stereotypes. If you can make itto the end, there's a blooper reel to reward your endurance. --Jeff Shannon

DVD features
Yes, the unrated edition of The Dukes of Hazzard has nudity... but no, it's not of Jessica Simpson, but topless sorority girls. There are also two sets--"PG-13" and "unrated"--of deleted scenes and bloopers. The four minutes of unrated deleted scenes (supplementing the 25 minutes of "PG-13" deleted scenes) include more sorority girls and a menage à trois for Johnny Knoxville . The five minutes of unrated bloopers (the same amount as the "PG-13" bloopers) feature a few more girls but mostly bad language. Featurettes discuss the Daisy Duke short shorts (and show how you can make your own), car stunts, and the making of the movie (narrated by a cast member of the original TV series). --David Horiuchi
