0ur opinion: :MP3 players, CD players, portable DVD players and even laptops; you use these devices so you can enjoy your music and movies anywhere, anytime - especially in your car. To listen and share tunes while you 're driving, you need the right gear to make the connection. Enjoy full stereo sound from almost any portable audio player by using the Monster RadioPlay Wireless Car Stereo Wireless FM Transmitter.Just plug RadioPlay Wireless into your car's 12v accessory socket and the mini headphone jack into almost any portable audio or DVD player. Tune your car's FM radio to one of the 8 preset stations indicated on RadioPlay's channel selector (choose the station that offers the least interference). Select the same station on RadioPlay, press play on your portable device and your music will transmit wirelessly to your car stereo. The one-touch station selector makes changing stations a breeze (especially when required due to interference caused by terrain or radio station bleed-over).With so many ways to build your MP3 and DVD collections, it would be a shame if you couldn't listen to all of it in your car. * Great buy! ...
I've been using this product for about a month now (with a Sony Walkman MP3 player). It works really well, especially considering how economical it was. I travel about 18 miles each way to work and don't have to switch stations because of interference. It's not always perfect quality, but the moments of fuzziness don't last long enough to bother me. It is easy to switch stations when needed. You just push the illuminated button and it switches to the next station.
I did not give it a full 5 stars because I would like more options for radio stations. It is preset with about 8 stations (starting at about 88.1). I would like to have the ability to use another station at the higher end, if necessary (like 107).

Cheap = good, but lacking a little
Here it is: the frequency numbers themselves do not light up in the dark (only light next to them), the quality is not superb (but I was using an old car with poor reception). It is cheap and it is useful. Overall I love it, and wouldn't take a trip without it. Just thought you should know the only problems I've had.

* Monster value! ...
Wanted to add the capability of playing both from my mp3 player and even from my Walkman tape cassette unit, so I decided to give this a try. I read the reviews and saw others had had various issues, but for the money thought it was worth a try. The unit works GREAT! I have gotten very little static on only a few occasions, and didn't need to change the channel before the static disappeared. The sound quality was indistinguishable from the car stereo system itself.
One unexpected anomaly is that on my beemer the radio will automatically skip over stations with no signal, and I can't override that, so I don't have access to all of the eight pre-sets that this unit uses. I actually only have four of the eight available, but have not so far needed even all four. I'd recommend trying the listed stations on your car radio before purchasing this device, just to be sure you'll have usable access.
The reception could be an issue depending on your area, but here in the Bay Area (Northern CA) I've encountered no problems.

* Adequate ...
This FM transmitter works. Its signal is weak, so volume on MP3 player AND on car radio both have to be pretty high. The power source only powers the transmitter, not the MP3 Player. Sound quality is good, to my untrained ear. Switching back to radio can be jarring if you forget to turn volume back to normal level. Otherwise, no complaints. It works with my iPod as well as a Creative Zen Stone MP3 player.
