Testimonials
Average Buyer Rating: out of 5 stars

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * Very satisfied ...
I did a lot of research before purchasing Navigon. It was a new product and I looked at the features of the product and decided to buy it, even though it would have been 'safer' to buy a Tomtom or Garmin. I have used it a lot in the last one month in more than 2-3 cities and have been VERY satisfied. Some quick notes -

Pluses:
1. Great user interface
2. Reality view is super!
3. By the way, some reviewers have said it cannot take you to an intersection. It does! They need to read the manual - it's actually very easy.
4. The windshield mount is very stable - very German.
5. Connects to the satellite very very fast. I am not able to understand why some people have written that it takes very long. I have never seen it take more than a minute and in fact have heard a Garmin customer complain that it takes a long time for her on her Garmin.

Minuses:
1. As many have said, the voice can be louder
2. The touch screen buttons are small, but they are not too bad.
3. Traffic information is mostly accurate, but it has been incorrect at times.
4. Couple of times it just hung on me and I had to 'reboot' it. I am hoping this is very rare (it may be because it runs Windows CE Core!!).

Overall, a great GPS!

Buyer's feedback: 1 out of 5 stars - Smart device but you will regret
A. The system does NOT turn off automatically, upon switching off
the car (no power in the cig. lighter bay).
This is a MAJOR design problem.
Potentially, one can forget and have the system drained out.
B. The system does NOT work, if being charged at the same time (in car).
It will take at least 3 hours to recharge the internal battery.
Again, a MAJOR design problem.
C. The charging light(orange or green) can not be seen during
the day(only at night) and is making more difficult to
track the internal battery status(charging or not charging).

As a conclusion: very smart device but
you will regret if you buy it as I do.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * Better than Garmin, Tom Tom or Magellan ...
I drive a lot on Southern California Freeways and I really need a good TPS unit and traffic service. I've used GPS devices from Garmin, Tom Tom and Magellan and the bottom line is that the Navigon 5100 works better. I got tired of paying $144 per year for traffic reports and heard about the Navigon 5100 providing FREE traffic reports for life, so I bought one.

My big complaint is that I should have bought a Navigon sooner, because not only is the traffic report free (saving $144 per year) but the unit is far easier to use and more accurate.

The Navigon is much easier to use and gives far more accurate directions to your destination. It lets you read turn by turn directions and even takes the current traffic conditions into account in figuring which route to get you to your destination fastest.

Some reviewers said that the volume is not loud enough. Either this was an old problem (which has been fixed) or these people need new hearing aids. My Navigon 5100 is plenty loud to hear the directions just fine while driving at Freeway speeds, even with the radio on.

The Navigon even lets you choose to take a different route, like when you see a traffic problem before it is on the traffic report service and it will automatically figure out that you are going a different way and redirect you.

It isn't perfect, but it sure is better than the competitors. My only complaint is that the Navigon gives you 3 choices for toll roads (allow, avoid and forbid). While this works far better than Garmin, Tom Tom or Magellan, I would prefer to have choices like allow toll road only if it saves more than 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc.

Buyer's feedback: 2 out of 5 stars - Just looks good ...thats all
The only good thing about this unit is that it looks good.

Here are the problems.

- Speaker volume:
Extremely low quality speakers are used in this unit. i bought this unit because of voice guidance and text to speech and completely disappointed on what i got. Its very hard to hear the speaker while you are on the road driving. the speaker volume is so low (even at the highest point)that you will not be able to hear it correctly while driving. The volume amplification doesn't even increase the volume. i called the Navigon on this issue and they dont want to listen about this issue. They don't want to accept that there is a problem in this unit even though they know about it very well.

- The Directions.
The directions are good overall but some time if you are on the highway, the unit thinks that you are on the side road and starts telling you to turn left, right or even take U turn while you are on the highway. i hope this issue will at least be resolved in the upcoming map updates at least.

- My Suggestion:

After paying about 3 time of the cost of similar units with basic functionalities, my expectations were that this unit will be great. That didn't happen and the speaker issue and response from the Navigon completely disappointed me. if you want to buy this unit, make sure you are happy with its volume, you can only tell the speaker problem while driving on highway with a engine noise.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * very reliable product ...
this is a good product it is very accurate. unless you live around a major us city or travel through one you dont really need it for the free traffic updates seeing that it only gives you information around the large citys other than that it is a very relaiable product

You can say this about D.E.B.S.: director Angela Robinson’s 2005 feature isn’t very good, but it is surprisingly entertaining. The premise, which bears a passing resemblance to any number of previous films (from Heathers and Clueless to Charlie’s Angels and the Austin Powers franchise), involves a secret government agency recruiting young women as spies, based on their smarts, their ability to lie convincingly, and the fact that they look fetching in ultra-miniskirts. Four of the D.E.B.S. are then charged with collaring "criminal mastermind" Lucy Diamond (Jordana Brewster), who has returned to the States after hatching all manner of nefarious plots overseas. Then comes the twist: Diamond is gay, and one of our heroines, Amy Bradshaw (Sara Foster), unexpectedly finds herself falling in love with her. Out goes the espionage element; in comes the love story, and therein lies the surprise, as this burgeoning lesbian relationship is handled with unexpected sympathy, even tenderness. Sure, the acting, even by veteran grownups like Holland Taylor and Michael Clarke Duncan, is almost uniformly lame, and the script is silly; overall, the film would have to put on considerable weight to even be considered frothy. Still, D.E.B.S. isn’t a bad way to kill a couple of hours. DVD bonus features include a making-of featurette and commentary by Robinson and the cast. --Sam Graham

The teaming of Johnny Knoxville (Jackass: The Movie) and Seann William Scott (Dude, Where's My Car?) as well as the presence of the '70s-flavored car chases that were a specialty of the TV series guarantees that The Dukes of Hazzard will be even more lowbrow than the CBS TV series (1979-85) that inspired it. However, this brain-damaging comedy is more "rehash" than "remake," as good ol' Georgiaboys Luke Duke (Knoxville) and his cousin Bo (Scott) are frequently upstaged bythe General Lee, the Confederate-flagged '69 Charger that they drive, jump, race, and fly in as they smuggle moonshine for their Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson). Meanwhile, cousin Daisy Duke (Jessica Simpson) is reliably available to model her short-shorts (aka "Daisy Dukes") and awesome figure (and let's face it, Simpson's talents pretty much begin and end right there), while corrupt honcho Boss Hogg (Burt Reynolds, who should know better) recruits a local NASCAR star to advance his wily scheme of converting Hazzard County into a strip mine. Director Jay Chandrasekhar (Super Troopers) manages to mine some good-natured humor from the movie's oval-track detour and a few colorful supporting players (notably Kevin Hefferman as the Duke's pal Sheev). Otherwise, consider yourself warned: The Dukes of Hazzard is shameless Hollywood product at its most forgettable, trafficking in shameless white, rural Southern stereotypes. If you can make itto the end, there's a blooper reel to reward your endurance. --Jeff Shannon

DVD features
Yes, the unrated edition of The Dukes of Hazzard has nudity... but no, it's not of Jessica Simpson, but topless sorority girls. There are also two sets--"PG-13" and "unrated"--of deleted scenes and bloopers. The four minutes of unrated deleted scenes (supplementing the 25 minutes of "PG-13" deleted scenes) include more sorority girls and a menage à trois for Johnny Knoxville . The five minutes of unrated bloopers (the same amount as the "PG-13" bloopers) feature a few more girls but mostly bad language. Featurettes discuss the Daisy Duke short shorts (and show how you can make your own), car stunts, and the making of the movie (narrated by a cast member of the original TV series). --David Horiuchi
