I purchased the Schlage electronic deadbolt to allow entry into our house in case I didn't have a key with me. It works very well. Only drawback that I see is that it needs to be placed on a solid door without a glass panel as the lock has a lever on the inside that operates the deadbolt. There is no option for key locking from the inside, only the lever. Locks only keep honest people out, so it's better to have a deadbolt that is key lockable from both sides if you have an exterior door with glass panels. No need making it easier for a thief to get in than is necessary.

The compact keypad helps this deadbolt maintain a low profile on the outside, while a single 9 volt battery has the same impact on the inside.

The lock and keypad operations feel solid and are easy to use.

I'm very satisfied with this electronic deadbolt.

i am a retired locksmith and i found this product easy to install very easy to operate and is a very nice looking piece of hardware. I used this to replace other combination locks i already had. This was to upgrade the older locks. I bought two of these locks. Price delivery etc was excellent.

Buyer's feedback: - * problem with installation ...
Overall this is a very good looking lock with the obviously great feature of the keypad....BUT......when installing it, one of the 3 interior screws was not long enough to catch the other side of the lock!!!!! I have a standard size door. Thank God for my father-in-law who was able to file down the head of the screw and MAKE it fit....thanks dad! I called the customer service number on the back of the package and they told me that no one has reported that issue (so far). They took my info and are sending me out new screw packages. Hope you future buyers don't have the same problem as i did. Other wise this is a cool looking lock.
