I bought this gift for my Mother last Christmas. It never did work and of course we did not get a refund. I do not recommend. It was not clear at the time I purchased that this was a remanufactured item, but regardless it did not work and I'm still very upset.

Buyer's feedback: - Remanufactured Sirius Sportster SP-B1 Boombox and SP-R1 Tuner
I am pleased with the remnufactured pair.Actually the receiver was new in a sealed plastic rap.The boom box seamed to be only repackaged.It all looks new.I agree with the other reviewer about the excessive heat from the tuner.My remedy to disapate the heat is: to leave the tuner half cocked out on the hinged mount of the boom box rather then snapping it in .I think I got a great deal.

The only complaint I have is the the tuner gets really hot and at times the volume will increase on its own and I'm unable to adjust it unless I turn the unit off and on and then adjust the volume. The unit gets so hot that there are times when I'm afraid this unit will catch on fire.
