Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * More than just Howard ...
I recepted (Rome fans unite!) my Sirius for my birthday last year. Actually, my father had bought me a Mopar factory-install kit; just like they use on the assembly line. The radio I have in my car wouldn't have shown the Station/Song/Artist, etc., so I opted for the Sportster, thinking it could be used in conjunction as a "display-only" unit. (I'm a geek that way; need bells and whistles/gadget-type stuff...) So, I returned the Mopar unit to the dealer, pocketed the cash, and hooked up the Sportster. Anyhow, since having it in my car, I absolutely love it. Game alerts, pausing live content (helpful at the Mini-Mart)...I couldn't be happier. And since the revolution began on 1-9-06, 100 and 101 are happening!! I would recommend this product to any/everyone. 5 Stars. (The new "Streamer" appears to be the same thing, just jazzed up a bit from the Sportster.)

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - If your an NFL fan
I live in the New York area, and I'm not a big baseball fan. As far as sports talk goes even during the regular season our local sports stations stick to baseball pretty much. That being said the sportster was the answer. Not only do you have an AM drive show with Dan Reeves but the weekend reporting covers EVERYTHING! If you follow football, it is a MUST HAVE!!! Finally a company that gives its audience what they want. Goodbye WFAN, and good riddance to mike and the mad dog. Talk all you want about horse racing and Baseball, I'm out!

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * Sirius Satellite Radio and the Sportster ...
The installation is very simple, and just about anyone can handle that. The hardest part is getting the radio and mounting kit out of the very secure plastic packaging. Be careful when opening it up that you do not cut yourself or any of the wires inside.

When setting it up just make sure you choose a FM frequency where there is no other station broadcasting on or nearby. I also have the home docking station directly connected to my home theater system. Whether using it directly connected or the FM transmitter, it sounds great. In addition, I found an added bonus. With the FM transmitter on using the home docking station, I can receive Sirius on other radios in the house. I just tune to the frequency I have set the Sportster at and get music anywhere, even outside around the house with the walkman. This will also work well for those that may have an existing stereo, and no available audio inputs. It is important to note that they do not sell the unit as such. How well this will work will be determined on what your home is constructed of, and the distances between you and the Sportster.

Now for those of you like me that have been with Sirius since the beginning, you may want to take a look at this unit. It's small and compact, and all in one unit. Not like the original two and three piece units. It gets no warmer than a VCR, unlike other brands, and many old units. Less heat allows the electronics to work better and last longer.

And it is fast! If you have an old unit, you will know what I mean. On the Sportster, change the station, and almost immediately, there is the station information and the programming. My old unit, 5-10 seconds to change a station, 20-30 seconds later station information appeared.

After three weeks of use I found the Sportster to be a high quality system, with many options. I am very pleased and have nothing to say negative about the Sportster. Now the plastic packaging they ship it in, that's another story. Overall, I think most would be very pleased with the Sportster and Sirius radio.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - Pretty good unit
I have had a Sirius Unit in my Semi Tractor since Sirius first came out and love it. I bought this unit for my personal van and although not quite as good as my built in Kenwood system, it is a fine product. The only reason that I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the stream select buttons are on the small side (though I do have big fingers) I am going to buy the boombox also and hope it is as high quality. Surely would recomend buying it.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * Great unit, tons of features ...
I'm new to Sirius so I don't have anything to compare this to but I LOVE the sportster. The best feature is the Game Alert. Being a huge Detroit Piston fan, now living in Orlando, this is the most valuable feature. Whenever a game is on an alert pops up telling me they're playing. All I have to do is click and I'm listening. AWESOME. Installation was a snap. Took me 15 minutes. I'd recommend this to anyone.

You can say this about D.E.B.S.: director Angela Robinson’s 2005 feature isn’t very good, but it is surprisingly entertaining. The premise, which bears a passing resemblance to any number of previous films (from Heathers and Clueless to Charlie’s Angels and the Austin Powers franchise), involves a secret government agency recruiting young women as spies, based on their smarts, their ability to lie convincingly, and the fact that they look fetching in ultra-miniskirts. Four of the D.E.B.S. are then charged with collaring "criminal mastermind" Lucy Diamond (Jordana Brewster), who has returned to the States after hatching all manner of nefarious plots overseas. Then comes the twist: Diamond is gay, and one of our heroines, Amy Bradshaw (Sara Foster), unexpectedly finds herself falling in love with her. Out goes the espionage element; in comes the love story, and therein lies the surprise, as this burgeoning lesbian relationship is handled with unexpected sympathy, even tenderness. Sure, the acting, even by veteran grownups like Holland Taylor and Michael Clarke Duncan, is almost uniformly lame, and the script is silly; overall, the film would have to put on considerable weight to even be considered frothy. Still, D.E.B.S. isn’t a bad way to kill a couple of hours. DVD bonus features include a making-of featurette and commentary by Robinson and the cast. --Sam Graham

The teaming of Johnny Knoxville (Jackass: The Movie) and Seann William Scott (Dude, Where's My Car?) as well as the presence of the '70s-flavored car chases that were a specialty of the TV series guarantees that The Dukes of Hazzard will be even more lowbrow than the CBS TV series (1979-85) that inspired it. However, this brain-damaging comedy is more "rehash" than "remake," as good ol' Georgiaboys Luke Duke (Knoxville) and his cousin Bo (Scott) are frequently upstaged bythe General Lee, the Confederate-flagged '69 Charger that they drive, jump, race, and fly in as they smuggle moonshine for their Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson). Meanwhile, cousin Daisy Duke (Jessica Simpson) is reliably available to model her short-shorts (aka "Daisy Dukes") and awesome figure (and let's face it, Simpson's talents pretty much begin and end right there), while corrupt honcho Boss Hogg (Burt Reynolds, who should know better) recruits a local NASCAR star to advance his wily scheme of converting Hazzard County into a strip mine. Director Jay Chandrasekhar (Super Troopers) manages to mine some good-natured humor from the movie's oval-track detour and a few colorful supporting players (notably Kevin Hefferman as the Duke's pal Sheev). Otherwise, consider yourself warned: The Dukes of Hazzard is shameless Hollywood product at its most forgettable, trafficking in shameless white, rural Southern stereotypes. If you can make itto the end, there's a blooper reel to reward your endurance. --Jeff Shannon

DVD features
Yes, the unrated edition of The Dukes of Hazzard has nudity... but no, it's not of Jessica Simpson, but topless sorority girls. There are also two sets--"PG-13" and "unrated"--of deleted scenes and bloopers. The four minutes of unrated deleted scenes (supplementing the 25 minutes of "PG-13" deleted scenes) include more sorority girls and a menage à trois for Johnny Knoxville . The five minutes of unrated bloopers (the same amount as the "PG-13" bloopers) feature a few more girls but mostly bad language. Featurettes discuss the Daisy Duke short shorts (and show how you can make your own), car stunts, and the making of the movie (narrated by a cast member of the original TV series). --David Horiuchi
