An incredibly efficient heater at a great price!
Halogen (reflective) heating technology is a safe, healthy, energy efficient heat source that replicates the sun's rays, allowing the heater to directly warm the person or object in front of it. With a safety feature that automatically shuts off if the unit is tipped over or overheats combined with the fact that it never becomes too hot to burn anyone or anything that touches it, this heater is ideal for anyone with children or pets. And with very few moving parts, there are no odors, chemicals, or fumes, and it will not burn oxygen or stir up dust! Comes equipped with Hi (800W) and Lo (400W) temperature settings, oscillating mode, built in carrying handle, and a 2 hour timer. . A restocking fee will be deducted if this item is returned.

- * Ok - but understand limitations ... I bought this product to help heat a large loft. Knowing that hot air would simply blow away and be expensive, I thought I would focus on something energy efficient that could target a location. So here's a little breakdown.
The effective range of this product is limited. We keep it about 5-8 feet away to heat an one person at a time. It really has a max target area diameter of about 4-5 feet from that distance. Left on for a while in a small room, Like a bathroom...it does eventually heat up that space, but otherwise it's for very target heating.
Positives:
- Warm instantly when in target area
- Not hot to touch
- energy efficient
Negative:
- Really bright, you can't look at the thing for more than a few seconds when it's on high. We refer to it as "turning on the sun." Imagine a 50 watt bulb with a silver reflecting dish pointed at you.
- See the angle that it's pointed in in the picture? It's slightly up. It's as low as it goes, it doesn't go directly straight or down - why does this matter? We'll because say I want to heat myself from behind so it doesn't blind me - I can't place it on a shelf or table.. It has to be on the floor - and every chair I know has a back...so no help there. It will always shine on you. I'd also use it to heat my bed - but I can't point it down at the covers. So basically it must be on the floor only.
Overall, a good product if you need target heating, from the floor, and can deal with brightness.

- Great heater for the home officeI've had this heater for nearly a year. I keep my home fairly cool (upper 50s or low 60s), so when I am sitting still at my desk, I get cold. This is a great heater for the home office. I have never needed to put it on "High." The low setting is plenty. I also don't use the oscillating function. My only complaint is the little ticking timer in the heater, which is mildly annoying.

- * Awesome product ... I really love this heater. It is energy efficient and effective. Of course it is warmest when used as a spot heater, but overall, it makes my large bedroom much more comfortable. It does glow, so that may bother you if you are trying to sleep with it on, but I find the glow (kind of like a glow from a fireplace) comforting. Highly recommended!

- Good, but too bright!I bought this to replace a Presto Heat Dish that broke. Overall I'm happy with it. It heats well and I like that it oscillates like a fan (in fact it basically looks like a fan with a heater core). It's also nice that the low setting uses half of the energy as the Heat Dish. My only complaint and warning is that this thing is BRIGHT! On the high setting, you literally cannot look at it--it's like looking directly into the sun. You either have to squint or wear sunglasses. The Heat Dish was like having fire place lighting but this is like having a blinding spot light shone in your face.

- * The dogs love it too! ... Great product, simple to use, oscillating, almost inaudible, does not generate a draft, no filters to clean, and feels like a wonderful warm ray of sunshine. My dogs love it too and camp out close to it. I've already turned down the household thermostat and I'm on my way to saving money by using this comfy little heater.
