Buyer's feedback: 3 out of 5 stars - * It's OK ...
I bought this because of all the good reviews here. I was quite disappointed when I used it for the very first time. First, the resolution is pretty bad. I could not find any spec. on resolution, but it looks to have no more than 150 lines. Probably much less The other thing I don't like is the zoom feature. There are only the Normal and Full modes. When you select the Full mode, it stretches you screen more horizontally than vertically, so everything looks fatter on the screen, kind of like watching a 4:3 movie on the 16:9 format. If you watch a wide screen format movie, your choice will be (Normal) a small screen with black bars all around, or movie with fat people and small black bars on top and bottom of the screen.

I should say that I've never owned another portable DVD player before, so I don't these shortcomings are common. I will check out other units and may have to return this one.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - Good DVD Player
It's been just a month or so since I have purchased this DVD Player. But, I must say that I am very well satisfied with it. I must say, however, I had done review of available DVD Players on various web sites. The reviews posted by many other customers have been very helpful in making my decision. I could easily narrow down my search on this one based on the price, customer satisfaction and few other aspects I was looking for.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * Best $ ever spent! ...
I bought this DVD player for road trips with my boys, ages 5 & 3. It is the best $150 I have ever spent. We have the black model (they don't care about the color). It is easy to use and operate. The remote control is big, but that make it easy to push the buttons. The car cigarette adaptor is convenient for road trips. It is easy to charge the battery. I have only used the battery for about 30 min each time, so I can't speak to battery life, but it is very easy to hook up and use. My kids love this thing and it works great to keep them entertained in the car or when I am at doctor's appointments. I also like that this player comes with hookups to connect into a tv when you are travelling (though I haven't used this yet). Because it comes with AC adaptor, cigarette lighter adapter, and hookups to a tv, it seems to come with everything that you need.

My chief complaint is the sound. Reviews of other products also mentioned that sound is a problem with portable DVDs. My solution has been to use headphones. This player conveniently has 2 headphone jacks. Headphones are pretty much a necessity when you are on the interstate, because driving 75 mph combined with big trucks beside you, you just can't hear the player. I would recommend this player to anyone, but buy some headphones.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - Sony
Item arrived in perfect condition. It plays for over 6 hours. It is way more convenient than a laptop. We use it for travel, for exercise video's, for just watching a movie outside on the lounge. Great picture as well

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * The Answer Is Yes! ...
I am glad I decided on this purchase. I must say, I contemplated the price and did alot of comparison shopping. Great price for a quality sony. I was going to spend less, but I happend upon this little goodie. Worth every cent!

They hooked me with the fact it can be used with any TV too. It is as simple as plugging in a lamp. Presto a sony quality dvd, cd and computer slide shows/presentations or even lectures for off campus learning. Not only portable but on a large screen too if you want.

Very kool metallic blue smudge proof exterior. Easy to use. Love the battery last 6 hrs. (a little less w/o head phones). So what, you really need Head phones, speakers or your tv for Port. dvd players anyway. Awsome picture ,2 sizes-reg/wide screen. Picture is great in bright light, and day light.

Very sturdy for travel use. Swivel screen nice for 2 person travel(of course 2 H phone jacks). Light weight, slips right in a backpack, messenger bag or even a medium sized purse. This is great for Air, public trans or just genreral travel. Love the baterry on the botton snaps right in an out, very good compared to the annoying port. dvd baterries that stick out and interfer with operating.

All the claims in product description are accurate, love that! It easily plays dvd+r+rw,cd+r+rw, and jpg. Slide shows and productions.(did not use mp3,so cant comment). I am really amazed how great the 8in screen is! I thought about getting 9 or 10 inch and going a slight bit cheaper (or more expensive) with another brand, I am very glad I did not.

The one thing is it does not come with 2 sets (or even one set) of head phones, as some cheaper brands do. BUYER BEWARE, You DO get what you pay for with electronics. It's NOT worth selling out for the cheaper brand just for some cheappy and uncomfy head phones. There are plenty of brand name head phones right on Amazon, for very fair prices( I found sonys for $16 and change and bought 2 sets). PLEASE REMEBER to get CUPPED EAR head phones to block out noise, especially durring travel. Your old foam walk man or new inside the ear mp3 head phones may work but only in a very quiet place, such as a libirary. The cupped ones provide much better sound experience and noise reduction.

So, I hope this info helps, Great product at a great price. The delivery was on time and the product was packaged very well. Also everything was in working order. I Highly recommend this Port. dvd player, you get alot of product for your buck! And come on, it is a sony, they do tend to last much longer in general than some other brands I have heard about or ones I have tryed myself.

You can say this about D.E.B.S.: director Angela Robinson’s 2005 feature isn’t very good, but it is surprisingly entertaining. The premise, which bears a passing resemblance to any number of previous films (from Heathers and Clueless to Charlie’s Angels and the Austin Powers franchise), involves a secret government agency recruiting young women as spies, based on their smarts, their ability to lie convincingly, and the fact that they look fetching in ultra-miniskirts. Four of the D.E.B.S. are then charged with collaring "criminal mastermind" Lucy Diamond (Jordana Brewster), who has returned to the States after hatching all manner of nefarious plots overseas. Then comes the twist: Diamond is gay, and one of our heroines, Amy Bradshaw (Sara Foster), unexpectedly finds herself falling in love with her. Out goes the espionage element; in comes the love story, and therein lies the surprise, as this burgeoning lesbian relationship is handled with unexpected sympathy, even tenderness. Sure, the acting, even by veteran grownups like Holland Taylor and Michael Clarke Duncan, is almost uniformly lame, and the script is silly; overall, the film would have to put on considerable weight to even be considered frothy. Still, D.E.B.S. isn’t a bad way to kill a couple of hours. DVD bonus features include a making-of featurette and commentary by Robinson and the cast. --Sam Graham

The teaming of Johnny Knoxville (Jackass: The Movie) and Seann William Scott (Dude, Where's My Car?) as well as the presence of the '70s-flavored car chases that were a specialty of the TV series guarantees that The Dukes of Hazzard will be even more lowbrow than the CBS TV series (1979-85) that inspired it. However, this brain-damaging comedy is more "rehash" than "remake," as good ol' Georgiaboys Luke Duke (Knoxville) and his cousin Bo (Scott) are frequently upstaged bythe General Lee, the Confederate-flagged '69 Charger that they drive, jump, race, and fly in as they smuggle moonshine for their Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson). Meanwhile, cousin Daisy Duke (Jessica Simpson) is reliably available to model her short-shorts (aka "Daisy Dukes") and awesome figure (and let's face it, Simpson's talents pretty much begin and end right there), while corrupt honcho Boss Hogg (Burt Reynolds, who should know better) recruits a local NASCAR star to advance his wily scheme of converting Hazzard County into a strip mine. Director Jay Chandrasekhar (Super Troopers) manages to mine some good-natured humor from the movie's oval-track detour and a few colorful supporting players (notably Kevin Hefferman as the Duke's pal Sheev). Otherwise, consider yourself warned: The Dukes of Hazzard is shameless Hollywood product at its most forgettable, trafficking in shameless white, rural Southern stereotypes. If you can make itto the end, there's a blooper reel to reward your endurance. --Jeff Shannon

DVD features
Yes, the unrated edition of The Dukes of Hazzard has nudity... but no, it's not of Jessica Simpson, but topless sorority girls. There are also two sets--"PG-13" and "unrated"--of deleted scenes and bloopers. The four minutes of unrated deleted scenes (supplementing the 25 minutes of "PG-13" deleted scenes) include more sorority girls and a menage à trois for Johnny Knoxville . The five minutes of unrated bloopers (the same amount as the "PG-13" bloopers) feature a few more girls but mostly bad language. Featurettes discuss the Daisy Duke short shorts (and show how you can make your own), car stunts, and the making of the movie (narrated by a cast member of the original TV series). --David Horiuchi
