(White) Alarm Dual with Radio Clock Set Time Automatic ICF-C318 Sony

0ur opinion:

:
The correct EST (Eastern Standard Time) has been preset at the factory, so just plug the clock in and adjust the time zone as necessary. ln the case of a power interruption, the built-in Lithium battery maintains the correct time so you don't have to re-set the clock. When Daylight Savings Time changes take place in the spring and fall each year, there is no need to adjust the clock because the built-in calendar recognizes the dates and automatically makes the proper time adjustments. Dual Alarms with Alarm lndicator permits two separate wake-up times with individual wake-up settings and confirms that the alarm has been activated to turn on at the pre-set time. Choose your own snooze time instead of being held captive by the short time intervals of other snooze times. Each press of the snooze button adds an additional 10 minutes to your total snooze time for up to a full hour of uninterrupted sleep. Dual Alarms with Alarm lndicators Extendable Snooze AM/FM Analog Tuner Built-in Calendar Frequency Range - AM 530-1710 kHz, FM 87.5-108 MHz Power Requirements - AC 120V, 60Hz 0utput Power - 120mW at 10% harmonic distortion Battery Life (Approx) - Up to 250 Days (with Sony battery) Speaker Dimensions - 2 5/8-inch (66mm) Dimensions - Width 6 1/8 x Height 3 5/16 x Depth 5 15/16 inch (155 x 82.8 x 151.5mm) Weight - 1 pounds 2 ounces (524 grams)

:
Always know what time it is. The Sony lCF-C318 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio with Dual Alarm has a 0.9' green LED display that is easily viewable from across the room, but takes up very little space on your nightstand. lt hosts a number of features including automatic time set, automatic Daylight Savings Time adjustment, dual alarm, built-in calendar, AM/FM tuner and full power memory back up. The correct EST (Eastern Standard Time) has been preset at the factory, so just plug the clock in and adjust the time zone as necessary. Dual alarms with individual alarm indicators let you set two separate wake-up times with differing wake-up settings. ln the case of a power interruption, the built-in Lithium battery maintains the correct time so when the power returns you don't have to re-set the clock.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * Good Value Alarm Clock ...
The clock is a good value for someone looking for a dual alarm. The size is compact and the design is pleasing. The radio tuner could be a little better though.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - Sony ICF-C318 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio with Dual Alarm
This item is great! The best alarm clock I have ever owned. With dual controls allowing beep or radio wakeup, and the radio function it is great. It also has daylight savings time built in which is wonderful. I definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting a dual alarm clock. It is also very economical which is even better!!!

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * Value ...
This is a terrific value. The functions, sound and battery backup are all you really need. I bought one for my daughter and one for my wife and they love it.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - Prefect
I love this alarm clock. It's super easy to use and nice to look at. I like the fact that the buzzer volume isn't super loud. It's just loud enough to wake me up, but scare me awake. Love the fact it's inexpensive too. Get the alarm clock!

Buyer's feedback: 1 out of 5 stars - * Poor quality clock ...
I purchased this clock based on the good reviews. The clock and all its features worked great for about two weeks. Then, lines in the display numbers started to disappear one by one until the time was no longer legible or visible. All other features still work fine. I'm not willing to spend $ on replacing a lithium battery "just in case" that is the source of the problem. I'd rather purchase a different clock locally. I'm really disappointed with this purchase.

Joshua Logan's 1967 film of the hit Broadway musical about the love triangle between King Arthur (Richard Harris), Guenevere (Vanessa Redgrave), and Sir Lancelot (Franco Nero) is strong on star emphasis and weak on such fundamentals as story and sets. Except for a handful of solidly dramatic scenes--such as Guenevere grieving, late in the film, for the ruination she and Lancelot have caused--there's not a lot to get excited about. (The story's theme of a lost, great society, however, certainly struck a chord in the 1960s.) The Lerner-Loewe songs ("If Ever I Would Leave You," "Camelot") pretty much sell themselves, even if they are, at best, only proficiently performed in this movie. --Tom Keogh

"The book was better" has been the complaint of many a reader since the invention of movies. Frank Darabont's second adaptation of a Stephen King prison drama (The Shawshank Redemption was the first) is a very faithful adaptation of King's serial novel. In the middle of the Depression, Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) runs death row at Cold Mountain Penitentiary. Into this dreary world walks a mammoth prisoner, John Coffey (Michael Duncan) who, very slowly, reveals a special gift that will change the men working and dying (in the electric chair, masterfully and grippingly staged) on the mile . As with King's book, Darabont takes plenty of time to show us Edgecomb's world before delving into John Coffey's mystery. With Darabont's superior storytelling abilities, his touch for perfect casting, and a leisurely 188-minute running time, his movie brings to life nearly every character and scene from the novel. Darabont even improves the novel's two endings, creating a more emotionally satisfying experience. The running time may try patience, but those who want a story, as opposed to quick-fix entertainment, will be rewarded by this finely tailored tale. --Doug Thomas

On the DVD

Listen to our interview with Frank Darabont.
Anyone who has seen this Oscar-nominated film knows Frank Darabont likes to t-a-k-e h-i-s t-i-m-e. He certainly does the same in filling all three hours of his commentary track which he recorded over several sessions. Darabont has studied other DVDs and purposely does not repeat tidbits covered in the excellent new 90-minute documentary on author Stephen King and the making of the film. Other solid segments are two deleted scenes, a never-used teaser trailer, and Michael Duncan Clarke's screen test. The highlight is two remarkable tests of Tom Hanks in old-age makeup. Both are very credible, but it was decided to use another actor. The outcome is a DVD that puts the "special" back into the special edition. --Doug Thomas

When Roman tribune Marcellus Gallio (Richard Burton) is sent to Jerusalem, one of his assignments is the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Marcellus, a cynical and hardened man, wins the robe Jesus wore to the crucifixion while gambling with other Roman soldiers underneath the dying savior. He later becomes convinced that his hallucinations and violent outbursts are the result of a curse received from the robe, which is now in the possession of his escaped slave, Demetrius (Victor Mature), somewhere in the Middle East. He sets out to find Demetrius in order to destroy the robe and the curse and finds faith instead, converting to Christianity. This was the first movie to be filmed in CinemaScope, and won Oscars in 1953 for costume design, art direction, and set decoration. The visual aspects of the film are stunning, and it may be worth viewing for that alone; however, the script and acting leave much to be desired, and you won't find inspiration in these areas if that's what interests you. If, however, you are more interested in this film for its religious matter, the story of the conversion of the hardened Marcellus is inspiring. --James McGrath
