Hey EAR can you spare a BUD? lf it's a Sony MDR-E818LP Fontopia(R) Earbud stereo headphone, your ear isn't likely to want to part with it. The MDR-E818LP is an ultra compact stereo headphone that consists of 2 earbuds. Each earbud fits snugly and weightlessly in an ear. For the ultimate in comfort without sacrificing sound quality, this Fontopia(R) may be for you Super-Light ln-the Ear Design fits eliminates the usual headband, so you can enjoy music while exercising, skating and more

:
These super-light, ear-bud headphones weigh a mere six grams (.18 ounces.) They are the perfect headphone for those who relish lightweight, quality headphones. The silent cap confines the music to the listener's ear and away from those in the immediate area, a plus for those using the headphones in the coffee shop or library. The earphones are also open-air, meaning they allow ambient noises to enter the ear; this translates to a safer headphones, as the listener will be aware of horns, whistles and shouts.

The MDR-E818LP's deliver a quality sound, even with their small size. The headphones use sixteen millimeter drive units for a deep bass and clear treble. Sony also uses neodymium magnets which provide more energy per ounce than other conventional magnets. The PET diaphragm gives the headphones a high rigidity for minimum distortion. Finally, Sony's Acoustic Twin Turbo circuit achieves high sonic output by utilizing sound chamber and duct technology. The cord is one meter long (3.3 feet) for ample range of movement.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * for that price its a steal ...
these headphones are amazing for the price but the reason why i knock off one star is because i want to be fair to the customers and let you guys know its not perfect, ive had it for years and it still works it went through a lot from getting pulled out my ear,sat on,yanked from mp3 jack, sitting in a bad temperature room, all of that beating up i did to it and it still works.these are the real deal and the bass is decent and excellent treble, comes with foam cover for comfort fit,SONY is the way to go.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - Great for the price
For the price you cant beat the comfort and sound quality these offer. I wanted a pair that matched the comfort quality of the PSP headphones, which are the best bud-style I've ever tried. These are nearly as good. They sound quite decent too, which of course is as important.

My only complaint is the cord could be a little longer - I use these for my PC at work, and find the length a little lacking.

Buyer's feedback: 2 out of 5 stars - * You can do better... ...
Yesterday I bought them from Ross for 5.99 +tax. The packaging was quite attractive. It says deep bass, frequency response 12-22000. I needed an additional pair for my Meizu MP3 player or to use them with my laptop at work. When I opened package they looked not bad, not completely roundly shaped but fitted well into my ears (medium size). When I plugged them into my Meizu player I was initially stunned... It sounded so awful, I could not believe...I plugged back original Meizu earpieces (the same type as these) and I heard nice clear sound with a lot of bass, midrange and clear percussions ...(playing AC/DC) I plugged Sony back and tried to boost bass on the player...it didn't helped much...I listen to all kind music including Classical, Rock, Heavy, Pop, Reggae and so on...If you ok with these headphones you are depriving yourself from a music listening experience ...Just spend few extra bucks and buy something better...So far I like the ones that came with Meizu (Meizu brand) and I also got myself Koss SportaPro recently...sound very good for the money. Skip the Sony. I will try to return them back to the store...

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - Very nice for the price!
I purchased these headphones because as a transcriptionist, the large around-ear headset I usually use was giving me some pretty bad headaches due to allergy issues I have.

These earbuds have excellent sound, but I agree with other reviewers who said they can be a bit uncomfortable to wear after a while because of their odd, slightly teardroppish shape. It's not bad at all; just a bit uncomfortable after extended use.

I would highly recommend these, though. If they'd get rid of that strange shape, these would be perfect for most people for extended, everyday use. However, I wear these things for eight or 10 hours or more at a time, and theyve never been more than slightly uncomfortable and the sound is always excellent. Though I'm going to try a different style next time just to see what's out there, I would buy these again if I needed a pair right away. I'll probably pick up another pair of these just to have a reliable backup.

The cord could be a bit longer - I dont know why manufacturers make these cords so short - but it's long enough to suit me most of the time (just barely long enough to wear with my MP3 player in my pocket, so it could be six inches longer to be perfect). Best part about the styling is that these have a Y-shaped cord instead of those incredibly annoying behind-the-head cords, and that was the major selling point of these things to me. I have tried a number of behind-the-head designs and every one of them I either gave away or discarded because they just won't stay in my ears and they were unbelievably uncomfortable to wear.

For the money, these are the best earbuds I've ever owned, and I'd easily pay $20 for them. You won't be throwing your money away on these!

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * Very good sound in a small form factor ...
I have tried various ear-bud headphones and I almost always get disappointed. These headphones are a very good exception. They have very good lows compare to others. They certainly blow away the headphones that come with the iPod Nano. They are comfortable to wear, even without the little sponges.

It's a measure of the ongoing popularity of Karen and Richard Carpenter that the 2002 release of this video collection in DVD format comes nearly 20 years after Karen's death. The duo's heyday mostly preceded the MTV age, so this 15-song, 55-minute anthology is a bit of a visual hodgepodge, composed of still photos, footage from TV shows and concerts, promo clips, fleeting attempts at conceptual videos, and other weirdness (film of Carpenters albums being pressed on the assembly line? Hey, whatever). You'll see an array of bad haircuts and outfits and a whole lot of lip-syncing, but in the end, it's the music that counts. And the Carpenters' signature sound, with its brilliant arrangements, its lush harmonies, and Karen's exquisite alto voice, was easy-listening pop at its finest. If nothing else, Carpenters: Gold offers another chance to hear that music in all its glory. --Sam Graham

With a gentle tug at the heartstrings, Evelyn tells the true story of an imperfect father whose devotion brought much-needed change to rigid Irish law. It's a labor of love for star and coproducer Pierce Brosnan, who brings just the right touch of Everyman charm to his role as Desmond Doyle, a struggling Dublin tradesman, father of three, and chronic pub-crawler whose wife abandons their family the day after Christmas, 1953. Desmond's a loving father who's boyishly irresponsible; Irish law dictates the removal of his children to stern Catholic orphanages, and his battle for custody is aided by two lawyers (Stephen Rea, Aidan Quinn) who seize this opportunity to revolutionize the courts. With straightforward, unobtrusive style, director Bruce Beresford draws fine performances from Brosnan, Julianna Margulies (as a barmaid who inspires Desmond's sobriety), and especially young Sophie Vavasseur in the title role as Desmond's bright, determined daughter. Sentimental without being saccharine, Evelyn is simple, well made, and bursting with genuine Irish spirit. --Jeff Shannon
