:
Audiophiles who demand great sound quality but need something smaller than over-the-ear DJ headphones will appreciate the Sony MDR-EX81LP Bud-Style Stereo Earphones. With nine millimeter diameter driver units and PET (generic mylar) diaphragms, your music will sound loud, clear and rich. The MDR-EX81LP driver units reproduce surprisingly-clear recorded sounds at a wide frequency range (5-23,000 Hz). These substantial, compact earphones also feature neodymium magnets for greater power handling and higher frequencies. Five times more powerful than standard earphone ferrite magnets of the same size, the neodymium magnets mean that the Sony MDR-EX81LP Bud-Style Stereo Earphones maximize energy, while keeping size to a minimum. With these advanced technological features, the MDR-EX81LP provides great sound in a tiny package.

Sony MDR-EX81LP Bud-Style Stereo Earphones earbud design was built for the audiophile on the go. Made of Elastomer, the hanger fits around your lobes for a snug fit. Sony has not scrimped on comfort, designing the earbuds with soft silicone for a stable and comfortable fit within your ears. Also, Sony has used a lightweight, aluminum shaft throughout the earphone for even more stability. These features allow you to listen to clear, robust sound while you're at the gym, the ballpark, or any time you're on the move.

Testimonials
Average Buyer Rating: out of 5 stars

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * Excellent ...
I bought these earphones to ride my HD bike and I am delighted with the sound and how confortable they fit.
Excellent value.

Buyer's feedback: 1 out of 5 stars - Total Disappointment!
I am a loyal Sony products owner and generally find their products to be superb. I bought the subject earphones specifically to use when working out with the assumption of typical satisfaction with the product. I was thoroughly disappointed. Perhaps if I were Dr Spock these things would fit my ears, but I am not, and they don't. The earpiece is flimsy and not adjustable, as a result the top is 3/8 of an inch over the top of my ear, making the device useless. My first reaction was to toss them in the wastebasket, but then decided to leave them in the cafeteria at my work. Perhaps Spock will beam by, see them there and be able to use them.

Buyer's feedback: 2 out of 5 stars - * not a fan ...
Like some of the other reviewers mentioned, these are not good for people with smaller ears. The hanger that goes around the back of the ear is useless for me. I only wear these when walking to work, and I'm constantly having to shove them back in my ears. It's very annoying. Having said that, the sound quality and noise isolation are pretty good (the only reason they get 2 instead of 1 star). So if you're not using these while moving, they're fine. Hopefully there are better options though. I will be buying another pair for my commute.

Buyer's feedback: 1 out of 5 stars - This bud's not for me.
The sound quality of these earphones is decent, but not top quality - they are lacking bass ranges. Unfortunately, the earpieces are one size only and they were too large to fit my ears, so they do not make for a good exercise/running companion. Overall: disappointing.

Buyer's feedback: 1 out of 5 stars - * Decent until they break ...
Originally I would rate these a 3-4 star product. They sound was an incredible step up from the default Ipod headphones. The fit wasn't perfect, but they needed less adjusting while I was working out than most other earbuds. About 3 months after I bought them the left earbud stopped working. No sound at all. The warranty process was painless as Sony sent me a new, not refurbished, pair. After 6 months the 2nd pair had the same problem happen. The left earbud went out. I'll be looking elsewhere for a new pair of headphones.

On paper, the Mio DigiWalker P550 looks to be an attractive gadget for the mobile professional, combining the capabilities of a PDA and GPS into one device. However, its poor battery life and subpar navigation skills tell a different story.

Though it won't appeal to the masses quite yet, the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet is a nice, portable device for on-the-go Web browsing, and it has some worthy upgrades.

Though it has a few design and performance glitches, the Sony Ericsson W300i is a quality, basic MP3 cell phone.

Diesel vehicles have nearly a 50-percent market share in Europe, thanks to tax incentives and diesel-friendly legislation across the EU. Diesels are so passé there that you can buy a BMW 730d and no one will think it odd that your luxury car burns oil. Pull up in a diesel 7-Series in America and people would leer at you like you've alighted from an amphibious vehicle reeking of saltwater and dead trout.

But now, thanks to the oft-reported combo of newly-raised CAFE standards, not-so-newly-raised gas prices, and the 50-state diesel engine, GM, Ford, and Chrysler are about to dip more than a hesitant toe into the diesel game. Chrysler offers a diesel in the Grand Cherokee, but soon all three automakers will offer diesels in their best-selling lineups of light trucks -- the Dodge Ram 1500 is expected to offer a 50-state diesel after 2009. Light trucks are being used to lead the charge since those buyers stand to gain the most with the least amount of (perceived) sacrifice.

Diesels currently have 3.2-percent of the American market. Some estimates put them at 15-percent by 2015. That's a huge leap, and diesel still has plenty of hurdles. Diesels will come with a cost premium over gasoline-engined cars. That should be easy enough to conquer -- incentives and some quick cost and longevity calculations should convince people of the benefit. The real hurdle is the nagging issue of perception. The plan will probably be to attack that with a price that makes the proposition unbeatable. Said Chrysler's director of environmental affairs, "If it's priced right, we can sell diesel here. Diesel can give you an immediate poke in fuel economy -- 20 to 40 percent. Not many technologies can deliver that today."
