XM satellite radio wherever you go, even when you're on foot -- that's what you get with the Tao TXM1020 xm2go Portable Satellite Radio Receiver. This belt-friendly, compact unit comes with everything, yes everything, you need to enjoy incredible XM content in your car, at home, or on your favorite jogging path. Add in powerful features like program recording, artist and song alerts, and a built-in FM modulator, and you've got a must-have gadget that opens up a whole new world of listening pleasure.

Design
At just under three inches wide and 4.5 inches high, the TXM1020's palm-friendly size makes it great for use as a belt-mounted radio. The backlit LCD display is large enough to display the wealth of information that comes with XM radio service: Song and program titles, artist name, a playback progress bar,

a clock, channel information and signal strength cover the basics. Meanwhile, the screen can also display additional information like a stock ticker and sports scores. The device's user interface offers a circular control button that controls volume and playback, while a numeric keypad lets you input stations directly. The charging and cradle interface is on the bottom of the unit. The headphone jack, antenna jack and tuning control dial are placed on the sides of the unit. There's also a wireless remote that ships with the TXM1020 that duplicates much of the controls on the unit.

Features
The TXM1020's channel preset function makes it easy to quickly navigate to your favorite channels. The 30 channel preset memory, divided into three 10-channel groups, allows you to organize your favorites any way you want. Meanwhile, the channel preview function lets you use the tuning control dial to preview content playing on other channels without having to tune away from your current channel. And if you're the type who can never remember the name of that song you liked, you can save the artist and title of up to 20 songs for future reference. You can even program the TXM1020 to alert you when an artist or song is playing on another channel. To top it all off, the TXM1020 features built-in memory that can record up to five hours of XM programming. Set the TXM1020 to record what's currently playing, or schedule up to two recording sessions. These recording features are great if you often travel in areas where XM reception is spotty.

The palm-sized TXM1020 is designed to deliver XM satellite programming wherever you roam.
ln the Car, at Home, on the Go
The best feature of the TXM1020 is its astonishing flexibility, thanks to a long list of included accessories. When you're out and about on foot, you can use the TXM1020's built-in satellite antenna to tune into XM programming. A rechargeable battery offers five hours of battery life and, as mentioned, the TXM1020 ships with earbuds for private listening. An included belt clip also cleverly doubles as a table stand.

The TXM1020 has you covered when you're on the road, too. The unit ships with a vehicle docking station that provides all the necessary connections to your car audio system, as well as a magnetic roof- or hood-mount antenna, and three mounting brackets (a flat surface mount, a vent mount, and a swivel mount). Power is supplied by a 12-volt cigarette lighter adapter, and you can choose to route audio to your stereo via a direct mini-jack to RCA connection (yes, the cable is provided!), an included cassette player adapter, or via the TXM1020's built-in FM frequency transmitter, which allows you to tune into the TXM1020's signal via your car's FM tuner.

And when you're at home with the TXM1020 you can simply plug the unit into your home stereo via the mini-jack to RCA connection that's provided on the included home docking station. lf you like, you could also use the FM transmitter. Power is provided by the included home AC adapter, and the home antenna (yep, included!) has a hinged base for optimal positioning. The antenna can also be mounted to any vertical surface or an exterior wall.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * GREAT PRODUCT---GREAT STATION ...
I got XM with my new Honda few years back and loved it. I wanted something portable to take to beach and around...so I didn't miss Opie and Anthony. This is it XM is great, every type of music you can imagine, sports, news and the best Opie and Anthony. The sound on this is great and it has been going strong for quite a while High recommend.
Frannnnnnnnnnnkus to you.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - Love my xm2go
I have had this xm receiver for over six months now. It has worked very well. I am a truck driver so I use it a lot. I especially like the fact that I can record up to 5 hours of programming and listen to it later. I can even download it on to my pc with an Imic and some freeware so I can save it as mp3 files. It comes with a remote which is really handy. I like the fact that you can use it anywhere. The builtin antenna is not really sufficient unless you position it just right, but if I want to walk around with it I just listen to prerecorded programming. In the house I just plug in some extra pc speakers I have and they work great. It is so great to listen to a program from start to end without having it fade out and trying to find it on another station while I am traveling state to state. This receiver works great and I recommend it.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * Cheaper then the Delphi but just as good! ...
Right off the bat you'll realize this our not as fancy as the newest xm portable radios made by Pioneer and Samsung, but for me the positives are that the Tao is an affordable alternative and in my opinion a better buy if you're really expecting to use it at home, in the car, and outdoors. Although bulkier than the newest radios, its the perfect hand size for using in the car (the newest one are almost too small to easily manage while in the car, buttons smaller and they have to lay sideways to mount!) and when using at home. Despite not having the fancier color displays of newer models, the Tao is very easy to changle from at home and car use due to the docking kits.

Buyer's feedback: 2 out of 5 stars - Tao xm2go wanted to give it 5 stars
Overall the concept is very good. Works great in my truck, works great in my home. Lots of road trips through the midwest and never had lost signal issues. I even brought it on a fishing trip near the Canada border and used my extra truck antenna. We were 2 hours from the nearest paved road and it worked great.
But I've had this product since Dec of 2005 and have had to return it 3 times. I don't get reception at work so I like to record at night and playback the next day. Works great for about 2-3 months then no more sound on recorded material. Have to send it back and its on my dime and I have to live without it for about 3-4 weeks.
I wish this product was made a little better. I wanted to give it 5 stars but 3 returns in 14 months not very good.
The only thing I had to buy extra for this product was a holder for my truck otherwise it came with everything you need.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * the best thing ever ...
I have a friend that brought a Tao to work one evening. iI then asked him about the features and the price. I went straight home that very same evening and ordred one. It really is truly amazing. This is everything you could ask for.

Usually we're fans of Logitech's gaming mice, but its highest-end G9 Laser Mouse is expensive, overly complex, and lacks the ergonomic thought we've come to expect. If you like to brag about dot-per-inch limits, perhaps the G9's 3,200dpi laser will be enough to sell you, but for the price, we expect the design to match.

While compact and convenient, Panasonic's SD-based SDR-S150 camcorder doesn't make the quality cut.

Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, the eighth Pokémon movie, ranks as one of the best features in this popular franchise. Director Kunihiko Yuyama and writer Hideki Sonoda sensibly keep the adventures and threats to a scale that's appropriate for the characters. (The first movies put the world at risk, and while Ash Ketchum is a good kid, he's not someone who can credibly save the planet.) Ash, Brock, Max, and May journey to Cameron Palace for a tournament that celebrates the valor of Prince Aaron, who saved the realm from destruction 1,000 years ago. Ash and Pikachu win, but the mischievous Mew kidnaps Pikachu, whom he's befriended. Prince Aaron's Pokémon companion Lucario awakens from the victor's staff to lead Ash and the gang to the Tree of Beginning, a mountain that is also a living entity. Ash risks his life to rescue Pikachu, proving the depth of their friendship to Lucario. The film includes lots of CG effects, most of which work well with the drawn animation: the earlier Pokémon films tended to look like two different movies spliced together.

The two-disc set also includes The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon: A 10th Anniversary Special. In this 40-minute adventure, Dr. Yung invites Misty and Ash to take part in a special tournament on his new battle system. Yung creates formidable Mirage Pokémon from raw data, culminating in a super-version of Mewtwo, the powerful psychic Pokémon from the first features. Once again, friendship and kindness triumph over greed and arrogance, although the special ends with the words, "To be continued..." A CD is always more compelling when you know it's lifted from the artist's autobiography, and that's certainly the case with Confession, Usher's first record since 2001's 8701. The Atlanta singer's string of hits over the past decade have been decidedly PG-13 rated, almost veering towards teen pop, but he's changed all that on this co-produced offering, which he claims is "the real him." It would be too simplistic to just brand this record a break-up record, chronicling his public split with TLC's Rozonda "Chili" Thomas; it is that, but so much more. It would be more accurate to call this Usher's coming of age record, bridging the gap from boy to man, as he navigates the emotional fallout from the disintegration of his relationship, and the events that led up to it--real or imagined. But other than a guilty conscience, it seems unclear why Usher feels compelled to disgorge his secret life, as he documents his infidelities, transgressions, and emotional perfidy in the album's prodigious twenty one songs, that range from insinuating sultry R&B grooves to the decidedly crunky "Yeah," which pairs an insistent keyboard romp with Lil' Jon's assertive beats, and Ludacris' rather humid rhymes. --Jaan Uhelszki

Fade to Black is a document of Jay-Z’s self-proclaimed final concert; a grand affair that took place before a sold-out crowd at New York’s Madison Square Garden in November 2003. (But anyone who follows celebrity news knows that Jay-Z was out of retirement and back performing at the Garden just a year later.) Fade to Black is a legitimately powerful record of a truly historic event in the annals of rap. Muttering offhand narration with typical bored, streetwise affect, Jay hails the concert as a momentous occasion for being the first time a hip-hop show was allowed to headline at the Garden.

It’s unlikely that the full impact of the live performances will hit home to viewers unfamiliar with Jay-Z and his Roc-A-Fella Records stable of artists. Another frustration is trying to identify the array of visitors who trade raps on Jay’s stage. Included in the star-studded lineup are Missy Elliott, Foxy Brown, Pharell, Ghostface Killah, Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, and R. Kelly. One unmistakable figure--and we do mean figure--is Jay’s squeeze Beyonce, who raises the temperature and the roof with her skimpy outfit, flowing hair, soulful yowl, and sexed-up dance routine that leaves her boyfriend and the whole of Madison Square Garden slack-jawed with animal desire.

Twenty cameras captured the event, and some of the most powerful sequences are sweeping moves across the swirling, blissed-out masses as they lip sync along in perfect unison with Jay-Z’s complex, profane, quick-witted raps. Less effective are intermittent cutaway segments that show the artist in various studio settings working up beats and rhymes. These amateurish home video breaks may give some insight to Jay’s perfectionism and dedication to his craft, but they detract from the visceral power of the beautifully executed performance footage. --Ted Fry

On his third studio effort (and fourth overall), 22-year-old R&B/pop star Usher Raymond makes the not-so-simple transition from post-teen heartthrob to love man. He does it with solid songs and a generous helping of charisma and vocal acumen, making this much-delayed collection a hot summer treat. Usher is aided in his musical efforts by renowned hit-makers like the Neptunes, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis (who deliver soaring ballads like "Can U Help Me"), Jermaine Dupri, and new jack Edmund Clement who penned the irresistible single "U Remind Me." With catchy tracks and emotive vocals, Usher revs up his sex quotient and unleashes a winning blend of street-honed jams and passionate love songs. --Amy Linden
