TDK 4.7GB DVD+R media offers the widest compatibility with computer drives and home DVD players. ldeal for general purpose recording, a single TDK DVD+R has ample capacity for thousands of digital photos, up to hours of video and behemoth mission-critical data files. Each DVD+R disc can be fully recorded once. TDK AVlST metallic alloys change between crystalline and amorphous states in response to the heat generated by a laser for phase-change recording. The differences in reflectivity exhibited by the alloy in its crystalline and amorphous states are read as data. TDK AVlST alloys are designed for the most precise laser response, resulting in perfect data marks and superior recording and playback performance.

- TDK DVD'sTDK Recordable DVD's are a good quality product. So far, I haven't had to make coasters out of any of them. They produce a good quality image on standard play or better recording speeds.

- * one of the better DVD+R ... this is one of the better DVD+R. for me using Nero & Toaster, my coaster percentage is ~5-10% after 50 burns. packaging is weak and, sometimes, it breaks in transit, giving you some scratched DVDs. though this is a random thing and a transportation thing, not the DVD per se.
