* Most Awsome Calculator Ever ...
This calculator does everyting the TI 89 and TI 92 do, and more. this calculator is idea for Multivariable Calculus. when you draw a 3d graph on this calculator you can actually tell wat your looking at, unlike the TI 89 and 92.

An excellent product.
It is easy to use and it provides a lot of functions that you as a student should need. I liked the price and I also like how it looks like.

* I don't know how I got by without this... ...
I made it through calc I and most of calc II with a Ti-83 and maple (on computer) but I finally caved and bought this when I started to get heavy into integrals. This gets rid of both. I still use maple on tougher problems, but in class and during tests I wouldn't use anything else. I've used TI-89s before in class and borrowed from friends and it is just a much smoother interface overall. Nicer/bigger screen, full qwerty keyboard, and I think more programs and memory(pretty sure about memory, but don't quote me...). Ff you're even thinking about taking a full series in calculus or an upper division math or math-related class I highly recommend this product. It's $50 more, give or take, than a TI-89 but if you need a TI-89 anyways then this is definately worth the extra money. I would give this a 5, but TIs (technically inferior) in general have their issues, as anyone who has used them knows, and this is no exception unfortunately. But this does such a good job with the rest of the stuff it can do I usually forget about the technical problems.

A math student's best friend
I teach math and computer science at the local community college, so I have the opportunity to experience the strengths and short-comings of students at all levels of ability.
For students who plan to take a series of math courses, starting with pre-Algebra and extending through Calculus III, the TI Voyage 200 is a great investment. It is feature-rich and has graphing capability, with an expanded keyboard that makes for easier use.
The Voyage also can be programmed and can download existing applications from the TI user community. This extensibility becomes more valuable as the student works his/her way up the math food-chain.
For the beginning math student to the more advanced, I heartily recommend the Voyage as an investment that will have a good return.

* My second brain ...
The TI Voyage 200 has been an indispensable companion during my studies in Electrical Engineering. Ample on-board RAM allows me to download free and purchased applications without fear of having to delete a less-used application in the process. Battery life is more than adequate, although in order to ease my mind during backup of data and downloading applications, I place new AAA batteries in the unit just in case. A word of caution though! The instructions say explicitly to do a backup of your loaded applications BEFORE downloading a newer version of software. I failed to do that early on and paid the price of a laborious search and recovery later on. Downloading newer software versions wipes the system clean. For the Engineer, Math Major or Teacher, the Voyage 200 has plenty of available applications on-line. Most of them are free to the user. The Graphics display is accommodating, and additional hardware is available for purchase that will enable projection of the contents of the display for a classroom environment.
