The crystal-clear multicolor display makes for exceptionally easy viewing of maps, routes, driving directions, and other traveling information, such as mileage and distance. Measuring 3.5 inches, the TFT display offers a resolution of 320 x 240 to provide brilliant two- and three-dimensional graphics. The device also features 32 MB RAM and 380 MHz CPU, making it responsive and zippy. Using the USB port and the provided cable, you can use your PC to add your own points of interest.

0NE provides clear and accurate turn-by-turn voice instructions, so that you don't have to take your eyes off the road while your vehicle is on the move. Plus, with an operating temperature range of an icy -10 degrees to a sweltering 55 degrees Celsius (14 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit), the navigator is durable enough for New England winters or Arizona summers. Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * Bought as a present ...
I Bought this for my niece's graduation present. She is on her way this Fall to go to Law school and is not to familiar with Tenn.

She was thrilled with it, and learned to use it quickly. She told me several of her friends want one now.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - simple and accurate is all i ask for
this gps is on point. for every turn or intersection. i was amazed when the gps found local points of interest such as diners, schools, gas stations and etc. you dont expect a gps for this price to be as accurate as the 500 dollar ones. my only complaint is i could use a bigger one.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * Trust the TomTom ...
I live down South so here in SC the roads don't change much and so the TomTom seems much more accurate to us hicks than you sissyfied city folk. Ok I'm only kidding but the TomTom seems very accurate to me. I only use it on long trips (100 or more miles) and if I have to go somewhere downtown and I'm not familiar where the place is. I've learned to pretty much trust the TomTom but it always seems to falter at the last couple of buildings. But, it does get you where you want to go. The TomTom loves the interstate so it always guides you there even if you know a shorter route from experience. I gave it four stars because it works well for what you pay. I've had mine about 6 months.

Buyer's feedback: 3 out of 5 stars - TOMTOM ONE
I cant imagine how I ever got along without my TOMTOM all these years, makes traveling fun and is easy to operate. The one draw back is that on this model you have to pay for map updates and that can run into some money.

Buyer's feedback: 1 out of 5 stars - * Very buggy software -Californians Beware! ...
We bought this device about a year ago in North Carolina where it had a so-so performance. We started to notice some software problems, but nothing too severe at the time. Then, later that year, we moved to the Bay area and that's when the device really started failing.

Apparently TomTom thought a solid software design involves rebooting the device when it loses GPS. As soon as we hit an overpass, the device goes blank and it takes an exotic combination of pressing the start button, removing the power cable and re-inserting the memory card a couple of times to get it to work again.... until the next overpass. The couple of times it does manage to reboot by itself, it quietly reverts back to a random previously entered destination, causing us to suddenly get detoured and ending up driving in the completely wrong direction.

We have updated the software multiple times, but it does not seem to make a difference. Somehow it works better in Arizona and North Carolina, but performance in California is abysmal.

The maps are ok, if a bit outdated. The directions can be outright confusing, but once you understand what the voice *really* means and you start to selectively ignore what she says, you can get to your destination fairly easily.

I have read the stories about the terrible customer service, so we're not even going to bother trying to get our $200 back or getting the device repaired. We're switching to Garmin soon and this one will end up in the trash where it belongs.

The Pharos GPS Phone 600e isn't a horrible smart phone, but the lack of navigation software and subpar call quality detracts from its overall appeal. Plus, you can get more for your money with other GPS-enabled smart phones.

Thanks to a rich set of features and some great new additions, Evite maintains its stature as the top service for issuing e-invitations —but competitors are catching up.

It's a measure of the ongoing popularity of Karen and Richard Carpenter that the 2002 release of this video collection in DVD format comes nearly 20 years after Karen's death. The duo's heyday mostly preceded the MTV age, so this 15-song, 55-minute anthology is a bit of a visual hodgepodge, composed of still photos, footage from TV shows and concerts, promo clips, fleeting attempts at conceptual videos, and other weirdness (film of Carpenters albums being pressed on the assembly line? Hey, whatever). You'll see an array of bad haircuts and outfits and a whole lot of lip-syncing, but in the end, it's the music that counts. And the Carpenters' signature sound, with its brilliant arrangements, its lush harmonies, and Karen's exquisite alto voice, was easy-listening pop at its finest. If nothing else, Carpenters: Gold offers another chance to hear that music in all its glory. --Sam Graham

With a gentle tug at the heartstrings, Evelyn tells the true story of an imperfect father whose devotion brought much-needed change to rigid Irish law. It's a labor of love for star and coproducer Pierce Brosnan, who brings just the right touch of Everyman charm to his role as Desmond Doyle, a struggling Dublin tradesman, father of three, and chronic pub-crawler whose wife abandons their family the day after Christmas, 1953. Desmond's a loving father who's boyishly irresponsible; Irish law dictates the removal of his children to stern Catholic orphanages, and his battle for custody is aided by two lawyers (Stephen Rea, Aidan Quinn) who seize this opportunity to revolutionize the courts. With straightforward, unobtrusive style, director Bruce Beresford draws fine performances from Brosnan, Julianna Margulies (as a barmaid who inspires Desmond's sobriety), and especially young Sophie Vavasseur in the title role as Desmond's bright, determined daughter. Sentimental without being saccharine, Evelyn is simple, well made, and bursting with genuine Irish spirit. --Jeff Shannon

Few would accuse Fantasia of a reluctance to abide by the wisdom that what you've got, you should flaunt, and the vocal gusto she slathers over her full-length debut gets partial credit for earning--and keeping--your attention. To a greater extent, though, the high-wattage help heaped over the Idol 3 champ and Patti LaBelle-sound-alike makes the disc dazzle. In addition to pitch-ins from Missy Elliott, who produced and co-wrote three tracks and busts out a two-snaps-up rhyme on "Selfish (I Want U 2 Myself)," Jazze Pha duets on the ultra-mod "Don't Act Right" and Jermaine Dupri wrote and produced the smolderer "Got Me Waiting." Surprisingly, though, it's not those tracks or even the Idol-propelled cover of the Gershwins' "Summertime" that will stick with listeners most. Instead, first single "Truth Is," a sweet, old-school R&B lament directed toward a lost love, and "Baby Mama," a spirited shout-out to hard-working single mothers, snare standout status with their from-the-gut authenticity. Keeping it real is what won Fantasia the hearts of millions on TV, and despite Free Yourself's likable slickness, it convinces that--hot commodity or no--she's not about to forget it. -Tammy La Gorce
