The Westinghouse Contempra Trio fan is one of Westinghouse's 'Hugger' series of fans, which are specially designed for rooms with low ceilings, as these fans do not hang down from the ceiling as far as ordinary fans do.

The Contempra Trio is a 42-inch, five-blade ceiling fan. The blades are reversible, and are white on one side with white washed pine on the other. Both match nicely with the fan's white finish.<[>The fan includes a four-light lighting kit with the four bulbs creating a circular pattern beneath the center of the fan and providing welcome light when necessary. The globes are frosted glass.

42-inch fans are best suited for medium-sized rooms such as recreation rooms, living rooms, or a children's bedroom but can be used for larger rooms. The fan is covered with a 25 year limited warranty.--Jeffrey Dalto

Buyer's feedback: - * surprised ...
The fan looks nice and operates well. It was easy to install and I loved the hook to hang the motor on while connecting the wires. The pull chains for the light and fan operations are embossed with symbols to make pulling the correct chain easy. My only issue is that is says it uses standard 60 watt fan bulbs which are supposed to be included. In reality, it takes the small candelabra bulbs which were not included. I installed it after work and had to make a run to the store so that the bedroom had light that night.

Buyer's feedback: - false advertising
Be VERY careful to read the blurb as Westinghouse is deceptive. They advertise standard base bulbs as included. Wrong on both counts. You must go out and buy expensive chandelier bulbs which are unavailable in energy-saving form.
I contacted Amazon but they refused to change their misleading description.
Go for a more expensive fan.

The fan is ok for the price, but I would not have purchased them if I had been told the truth that they don't take standard bulbs. Booo Westinghouse ,now after installing them I can't put energy saver bulbs

PRODUCT IS NICE. I LIKE IT VERY MUCH. THE ONLY THING THAT I DIDN'T REALIZE UNTIL I HAD THE FAN IS YOU CAN'T USE STANDARD SIZE BULBS, IT HAS TO BE CHANDELIER BULBS. OTHER THAN THAT, GOOD PRODUCT FOR A GREAT LOW PRICE.

I purchased one of these fans and it is so loud you can hear it in the next bedroom. I called customer service from home and beyond and they have not returned my phone calls.
