Globes Frosted with Brass Satin Fan, Ceiling Five-Blade 42-Inch Three-Light Trio Contempra 7850900 Westinghouse

0ur opinion:

:
The Westinghouse Contempra Trio fan is one of Westinghouse's 'Hugger' series of fans, which are specially designed for rooms with low ceilings, as these fans do not hang down from the ceiling as far as ordinary fans do.

The Contempra Trio is a 42-inch, five-blade ceiling fan. The blades are reversible, and are walnut on one side with maple on the other. Both match nicely with the fan's satin brass finish.

The fan includes a four-light lighting kit with the four bulbs creating a circular pattern beneath the center of the fan and providing welcome light when necessary; the globes are frosted glass.

42-inch fans are best suited for medium-sized rooms such as recreation rooms, living rooms, or a children's bedroom but can be used for larger rooms. The fan is covered with a 25 year limited warranty.--Jeffrey Dalto

Testimonials

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - * outstanding ...
This ceiling fan is awesome!!! Runs quietly and installation instructions was easily followed. I searched the internet for comparison and found this to be of the BEST in price, quality and performance. I highly recommend it and will purchase another one when the ocassion arises.

Buyer's feedback: 1 out of 5 stars - This is a great fan (for deaf people)
I bought 2 ceiling fans, a super gorgeous expensive one from Lamps Plus for our living room, and this little cheapie for the bedroom. On sale for $41; I liked the look of it. I replaced the cheap glass shades with etched amber, and the cheap pulls with ruby chandelier drops. I used the darker blades. When the electrician was installing it, he informed me that the main somethin' was bent!, and that the wrong screws and bolts were in the box. It looked brand new when I bought it. He balanced it with some foam padding, and as I hadn't been sleeping well due to poor air circulation or constant air conditioning, I said just put it up. It was quiet and pretty and I was happy. That didn't last long. The next night (yesterday) it started to sway and tick and knock so loudly that it defeats the whole purpose of being installed in a bedroom. Now I have to go find another fan, hire the electrician to come again, take this one down and replace it. I called OSH to complain, and the manager said he'd reimburse for fan and for electrician's fees. (He'd better!) I even had the electrician talk to him. If you're a new fan buyer like I am, apparently you have to pay a lot more for a quiet fan. Now I know.

Buyer's feedback: 4 out of 5 stars - * A steal of a deal ...
After looking in lighting stores at fans costing around $130 I Ordered this product from Amazon on a Friday. I took the default (no charge shipping) and I received the product early on Monday afternoon. I installed it myself and had it up and running in about an hour and a half. It runs great.

I read all the reviews so I had concerns before I ordered it but I thought that the price was just too good to turn down.

Keep in mind that this is a small fan, but it is perfect for the room I ordered it for.

The ability to support the motor on the mounting bracket made the installation very easy.

The bird's eye maple blades are quite unattractive so keep that in mind if you are planning to order this product.

I still feel like I got a great deal on this one.

Buyer's feedback: 5 out of 5 stars - Again!!! Awesome! Beautiful!! Great Price!!!
Again! One of three I bought. This fans are a steal. They look gorgeous and fancy in your ceiling. If you install this item correctly you won't be disappointed. The lifetime warranty is excellent for a item of such a low price. I am happy with my purchase. They look awesome!!!
By the way.... Can you imagine this lighted fan using anything but candelabra lights?? Picture it! Yikes!

Buyer's feedback: 2 out of 5 stars - * Junk ...
I have installed many ceiling fans and this is the poorest quality fans I have dealt with. The product you get is not the same as avertised. The bulbs are not standard and the light kits are very cheaply made. I had to replace the light kits on both the fans I ordered. I didn't even try return as I did not want to take the fans down and ship them back just to replace the light kits. I would not recommend buying this fan. Quality is not comparable to other fans I have installed in this price range.

There are but two kinds of people in the world: Those captivated by Baz Luhrmann's heady, postmodernist musical romp Moulin Rouge--and everybody else. Oddly, the film's initial soundtrack release may have been the project's most traditional element, marketing a slate of pop-star contributions that gave listeners a sometimes-skewed perspective on its true musical charms. This follow-up corrects much of that oversight, offering original film versions of "Sparkling Diamonds" (the lavish, Nicole Kidman-performed medley of "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" and "Material Girl"), Jim Broadbent's and Richard Roxburgh's loopy take on "Like a Virgin," as well as the lively Offenbach "Can Can" parody "The Pitch (Spectacular Spectacular)." It also pays homage to the efforts of composer Craig Armstrong, whose quietly compelling underscore often binds the film's other far-flung musical influences together, be they stately orchestral readings of Elton John's "Your Song," a dramatic arrangement for Kidman and Ewan MacGregor's original film duet of "Come What May," or his dark, melodramatic take on Queen's "The Show Must Go On." The first Moulin Rouge soundtrack collection flaunted the film's bold, cross-genre ambitions; this one chronicles its nakedly emotional heart and soul. --Jerry McCulley

It would be easy to dismiss Kelly Osbourne's musical ambitions based on 1) Her royally obnoxious behavior on the family's MTV reality series, 2) Her overly manufactured debut album, Shut Up, and 3) That voice, which up until now, sounded like cats on a chalkboard. But spare a moment for the bratty singer's follow-up effort, a remarkably faithful new-wave throwback, which generously references everyone from Duran Duran to Missing Persons. Producer Linda Perry not only effectively revives the dramatic sounds and melodies of the era but offers songs that perfectly suit Osbourne's, er, constrained vocal range. The resulting disc is full of guilty pleasures like "Uh Oh" and "Redlight," tunes that should strike a chord with anyone that still gets a thrill out of happening upon basic cable reruns of "Sixteen Candles." --Aidin Vaziri
